Bewley came over to have a chat to us and someone asked him whether he thought J-Lo's gameplan was better than Lyon's and he just said "yes and no, completely different blokes" professional response there. Cox was a lovely bloke too.
To be fair without injuries we probably make the 8, has been that way at Freo for awhile now. We were a one trick pony under Lyon.

Some older bloke here is going on about how we should have picked up English, Naughton and Pickett over smaller guys over the years. His exact words were

"You have English and you pick Schultz"

They weren't even in the same ******* draft you donkey.

lot of that there

I can’t stand down there. You die a slow cringe death

Good drill kicking to the leading forward coming across the ground then pivoting and leading at the ball carrier with an emphasis on low kicking.
coach (Carr or Rock) saying at some stage “some of these kicks are coming in too high”
McCarthy has looked really good so far
Stephen Hill in full training
Goal kicking drills now
Can you guys at least TRY not to make me giddy with excitement?

Every preseason 😭

So today's training session was really good. Very similar to last Monday's session but a lot of players have just continued to improve.

Notes
. Hamling was the first out on the track, good to see from one of our mature aged players.
. Fyfe spent the whole training session running and as a part of the rehab group. Looks like he's lost a bit of weight. Pearce came out for a while and walked the boundary with his ball like he has been.
. They started off with basic sprints to warm up and had them running off in sets of 4.
. Darcy actually won one of his pack's sprints 😂😂
. McCarthy has dropped some weight but is looking really good.
. Acres and Aish were solid
. They did quick kicking drills in a line of three where they had to quickly turn and kick to their teammate.
. They did the same exercise last week where they would be in groups on around 8 and try to transition the ball from one end of the ground to the other.
. Schultz needs to lift his kicking quite a bit, was pretty shaky and shanked a few kicks on the full.
. They did some goal kicking drills for around 10-15 minutes and a lot of them have got some good kicks about them, definite improvement there.
. Finished off with some endurance and running exercises.

TTHD goes to Tom North today. The guy impressed me a hell of a lot and looked outstanding with everything he did today. Look forward to seeing more of that. Also managed to grab a couple of photos with Fyfe, Blakely, Crowden and J-Lo which was good. Longmuir came over and had a chat thanking us for all coming out and to continue showing our support. Great guy.

Got a few spare minutes so went to training for approx 40 mins. Can confirm the info other reporters have mentioned. Please to see the focus on skills continue but we still have much more improving to do in this area as evidenced when the drills became more intense and match like. Having said that it was warm and for many the 1st session of the year. Mundy was however still exquisite by foot and as reported McCarthy does look more refined and agile. He does give me the shites cam as he has more talent in his finger than most players but I just don't think he consistently works hard enough... hopefully the penny drops in 2020. Also noticed Blakely running multiple laps with Bewley who looks more refined and Connor, whilst staying with Bewley appeared to be labouring a little in comparison. Lastly this guy (below) photo bombed us nicely!

There are plenty of muppets down there, always best to sit to the side....

I was really impressed with the condition Cam came back in considering some of the crap on here.

Also if I had a rig like Pearce I would never be wearing a shirt either.

Completely different atmosphere on the track this year, hard to put my finger on it but the vibe just seems so much more positive.

You do get some real loonies down there that are happy to voice loud and proud their stupidity to everyone within earshot but I guess it'd be the same at most clubs.
