Let’s stick with a basic rule for this thread, that it’s for draft watch and discussion only.

It’s not for trade hypotheticals, who you think needs to be delisted or traded, how many games you think we will win, some other team will win, how many picks you want in the 1st round or discussion of current HFC players.

It’s about youngsters who are eligible for the draft in 2021.

Key dates to look out for:
  • NAB AFL Draft Combine: TBC
  • NAB AFL Draft: Wednesday November 24 - Thursday November 25
  • NAB AFL Pre-season and Rookie Drafts: Friday November 26

If any club needs a timely speed injection, Chesser is their man.
He’s competed at national level for athletics five times, specialising in the 100m and 200m.
His personal-best time for the 100m is a scintillating 11.29, although he has no regrets in going down the football path.
“Footy was always the first love and I was involved locally with the Wodonga Bulldogs and then I kind of picked up athletics just through school, and I ended up going to a few national campaigns,” he said.
“At the same time I was playing under-12 and under-15 Vic schoolboys.
“Then I moved down to Melbourne at the stage where I was trying to balance the two of them, but I then made the decision to pursue football and transfer the athletic profile from sprinting into football.”

We only have 21 & 24, if taking Taylor with 21 (suspect he is still there), then 24 with Bazzo (suspect he is there).
People here saying he is better prospect, higher ceiling than Van Rooyen, it would be nice to finalise FB and back half.
It does say he can lock down forwards as well as intercept. Anyway we only have 2 second rounds, plenty of guys we
can choose if not Bazzo like Clarke, MacDonald, Roberts, Knevitt. I doubt Bazzo will last much longer than pick 24.
Would be pumped if we can grab Taylor and Bazzo with our 2 second round picks.

Chances of Chesser making it to our Pick 21 aren’t that great, but if he’s there and we take him I’d be pleased.

Finally got around to seeing his highlights.

Kicking style and ease of movement across the ground reminds me of a quicker David Mundy.

Chesser is fast, but that clip is fairly basic.
Doesn't really show him doing much that's impressive with the footy.
Good skill execution, hits targets etc but Sinn looks much better if it's pace we want.
The Mundy comparison for Chesser is a good one - definitely see it in his movement.

Does he have speed? Some profiles says he has a good burst but the highlights suggest otherwise.
Not slow and yes he has a change up, I'd say he more composed under pressure than most which might make him appear slower than he is in general play. Around the contest he can provide some power and burst in close.

4 day old news.

I am not sure how many interviews normally a draft candidate gets.

Paul's interview with the Hawks got cancelled.

Maybe we are interested to consider him with one of our lower picks.

From afl.com

Paul Curtis
Western Jets, NAB League / Keilor FC
State: Victoria (Metro)
Height: 183cm
Weight: 78kg
Date of Birth: 04/03/03

Medium forward with a sharp eye for a goal who burst onto the radar with four goals for the Western Jets in the NAB League early in the year before carrying that goalkicking form into Victorian Metro trials and then playing in the game against Victoria Country kicking a total of six goals in those two matches. A left footer who anticipates well as a forward and first to move, he has strong hands overhead and on the lead. Played seven matches for the Jets averaging 12.1 disposals and two goals with his overall performances in the NAB League and for Victoria Metro earning him “Team of the Year” honors. From a sporting family with his mother having represented her native country Tonga in netball.

What are the chances of Sinn or Chesser becoming midfielders in the future? They both look like exciting prospects, and both he pace which is obviously something we've lacked in recent seasons.

But can they become midfielders?
Rather take that punt at our second pick.
I’m quite keen on one of Sonsie or Chesser at our second pick. We may need to push down the order though
