Oh you mean non selection of Williams by the Eagles, not you personally
Yeah, he could be a good cheap R2, if Simmo gives him the game time - which I hope he does.

Depends on if we go with the 2 ruck setup again, and if we do, if they chose Allen to fill the role whilst NN has a rest, of if they give Williams a go.

Right... went through and actually checked injury lists this time. Always open to feedback!
Brayshaw and Mitchell both haven't played a pre season game due to injury and Bailey Williams is injured mate. Gould probably won't be selected round 1

IMO i would go
- Brayshaw to Gulden
- Williams to Witts
- Brodie to someone with better job security (cadwell/hind)
- Gould to Webster

Any thoughts here?
- McEvoy as smash glass if 170k ruck rook strategy falls apart
- Tossing up between Fantasia / Hind but have gone Fantasia due to Def flexibility
- May need a change if Idun doesn't play. E.g. Josh Kelly down to Walsh, Idun to H.Young/Webster (or is this a better move regardless of Idun's status?)

Did the first two, swapped Titch for Danger due to DPP and 50k saving, and threw Fantasia in the backline for Gould.

Brodie is gone and got Heeney up forward as well as Brockman. Not 100% sure how much game time Brockman is going to get but I've seen him in a fair few teams and he played well on the weekend apparently?

I have Brockman on my midfield bench if that helps

I like my structure with 4 rookie mids. I havent seen anyone running the same strcuture this year but have seen it in the past. Would love some feedback on peoples opinions and whether i can pull it off.

Maybe post your team? But in response to your queries, people's opinions are rubbish, and yes, you can pull it off!

You mean 4 on field?

Wow how many times can I 1k short ...
so frustrating

i’m $90k short of a really, really good team
I can help fund this if you want.

All you need to do is cover a small transaction fee charged by my bank first as it's a very complicated process turning real dollars into fantasy dollars and as such, even as emperor of my kingdom cannot get this charge waived by the government of Mozambique.

After backing out of having a rookie sitting at R2, I'm back on board Witts R2 and pretty happy with how the team is looking. Feeks like a nice mix of locks and growth players. Any feedback welcome.

Dunkley, butters and Brodie subject tl change as im not sold on them but thoughts on this structure running 4 mid rookies? Will there be enough job security in the mids to pull this off?

Just my thoughts...
You have a spare $170k ruck on the bench and one in the UTL spot, surely you don't need a third back up in McEvoy?
The risk of him playing down back is not worth the backup he gives IMHO and is things go that pear shaped you can just trade! Plus Markov shouldl score better anyways!!
Wines has averaged over 100 once in his career, so even is he gets to 100-105, not enough upside,
Personally I think Hind is a must have. $400k defender who should average over 80.
Big call on Kelly, I've thought about it long and hard but just think his injury history is too much risk at his price

McEvoy >> Hind via Fantasia?
or
Move Danger to the mid replacing Wines, wines fwd and down to Hind. Then upgrade McEvoy to a premium or a fwd rookie to a midpricer (so many good ones!)

Current set up

Def: Laird, Docherty, Clark, Markov, Young, Webster (Highmore, Kosi)

Mid: Zerrett, Walsh, Taranto, Rowell, Caldwell, Powell, Gulden, Downie (Brockman, Jordan)

Ruck: Gawn, Grundy (Flynn)

For: Dangerfield, Dunkley, Phillips, Dow, Warner, Rowe (Bergman, Jones)

Any feedback greatly appreciated. Starting to get pretty happy. Ideally like another premium defender, but see value in all the 4 mid pricers back there

If Dow, Webster and Downie go well... You've got a holeshot into the first corner!

Pretty good. I wouldn't change that too much outside of the usual forced rookie swap.

I'm running a similar 2 premo / 4 mid pricer backline to fund a strong midfield rather than a strong fwd line.

Merrett, Macrae, Gaff, Walsh
Taranto, Powell, Gulden, Downie.
Gawn/ROB.
Phillips, Caldwell, Stephenson
Hind, Rowe, Warner.
