Teams 2021 Fantasy - Rate My Preseason Team

OK, here's my quite different team, still have $281k in the bank!!


Laird, Short, Daniel, Powell, Markov, Webster (Kosi, Highmore)

Merrett, Gaff, Taranto, Walsh, Clark, Powell, Gulden, Downie (Jordan, Lassaro)

Witts, Meek (Flynn)

Danger, DeGoey, Phillips, Hind, Atkins, Warner (Jones, Bergman Utl: Brockman)

Honestly happy with the cash in the bank currently as not sure where else to spend it!!
Like Clark in the mids as if he, Powell or Markov struggle it gives me lot's of options.
Not many people have jumped on Atkins but was close to BOG on the weekend which was his first game at HB. At his price if he averages 75 I'll be stoked.

Depends on how you look at it.
The cost of starting another premium ruck is so great that it hits the rest of the team too hard for my liking
I think Meek and Flynn will score better than any other $170K players.

Although Drew had a great game, I’m not sold on him getting a regular spot. Wondering if you’d be better of doing something like this:
Campbell to midfield
Drew down to a forward rookie - Brockman or Jones
LDU up to premium

Lots of players that I see huge value in that you have missed.....Hind, Markov, Webster.
Also, Selby mentioned that no winner for the past 3-4 years has started with a KP fwd!!
Personally I think Merrett, Gaff and MaCrae will out score Steele by 5+ points

So hard to say. I've been focusing on blokes who are good on the spread as well as being good inside as it's a semi safety net in case these rules do make a difference at all (even though I'm not sure they will). So my top picks in order are:
Merrett
Steele
Oliver

Can’t go too wrong with the side mate! A lot of stock standard picks with a few well acknowledged and justified uniques in there.

Like me, I’m assuming you’re banking on Gaff enjoying his time back at Optus, relishing the longer quarters and reduced interchange and really junking it up late in a few games? Think he can push a 115 type season out. Haven’t watched the game from the weekend but assuming he was cruising? Expecting him to push that 83% tog up to 88-90%.

Is there a reason why Serong didn’t play on the weekend mate? Hasn’t been on my radar due to price for me, but just wondering if this may affect your decision to pick him.

Rate the luck of Nank the Tank, think he can push 85-90+ if he keeps himself right. Only played a portion on the weekend but you’d be happy with his output in that. Should line up in round one as number one ruck

Dow admittedly entered my team at one point although I took him out as it begun to look like a case of too many mouths a lt Carlton to feed for me. Williams out for round one bodes well for him though. Hasn’t ever been a massive %tog guy either which concerns over fitness, but if you’re backing him in it’s under the belief he’s built on that, I think I would’ve liked to have seen just a bit more from him though. Still at his price a relatively safe pick, easy to downgrade to a strong performing rookie

I’m the same. Had Dow in my team but had to yeet him. The amount of CBA he had and did bugger all scared me too much

Lloyd went down to Stewart, Danger became Dunks (on the fence on this one) and Rowell went up to Zerrett.
Noble is my smokey if he can continue to get the ball in his hands.
Fairly settled and pretty happy with the amount of rooks I'm fielding.

Really like the look of that mate! Do you se Hunter getting a solid run through the midfield even with the inclusion of Crouch, and Higgins to an extent who will chop in and out. Saints are building a pretty solid midfield.

Great team - only proper change I'd make if it were my team would be both Clark's to a bonafide premo and a Cheaper option but can't knock them as they are astute picks. Really like this team

Options for that:
1. Add to Caldwell/Serong and get another premium mid
2. Downgrade another expensive rookie eg. Campbell, Macrae and use that extra cash
3. Get an actual R2

Undecided but liking the spine of the team.

There's a feeling kickers are going to be the big beneficiaries of Fanatsy scorers this year .....clubs are going to look at getting the ball into the hands of their elite ball kickers

Hard to know - is Clark best 22? If so then could persist with him and make those changes after a week or two. Bringing in TWO Tigers fantasy players makes me feel a little dirty haha.

Yeah I'm thinking I might sit on it over the weekend at least and see how Clark goes again.
Markov is a Sun now so I don't feel so bad about it, and could probably go through with it because of that
