Why?Unpopular opinion, can’t stand Dylan Alcott
Our demographics would have changed a fair bit after the loss of Gibbs, Talia, Lynch and DMac.They're almost bang on average - they have the 8th oldest list, only 0.1 months older than the 10th oldest list:
https://www.draftguru.com.au/lists/2021
Geelong has the oldest list, at 25.4 years.
Adelaide has the youngest, at 23.6 years.
Port's is 24.4 years.
** Not sure what the measurement date was - but all teams have aged equally since then.
Can't really see Port surviving in a post pandemic world.
Surely after Saturday's night game, the supporters must believe that this is "Port Adelaide football", choking in major games. He’s giving them sh*t about their so called “port Adelaide football”
Playing Port Adelaide way is beating up on Bottom 8 sides.Port Win - 'We played the Port Adelaide way'
Port Lose - 'We didn't play the Port Adelaide way'
Has there ever been a better weekend in sporting history?
Port smashed in a home final.
Geelong smashed in the finals, ensuring Dangerflog never wins a flag.
Djokovic smashed in the final of the US Open, ensuring he doesn't achieve the Grand Slam.
...
and Daniel Ricciardo wins the Monza GP.
Does it ever get any better than this? Not since 1998, in my memory.
You sure they didn’t say Hinkley did nothing Saturday night?
He’s a bit hamstrung without Westhoff now.Did anyone notice any positional changes during the game?
I know Ken talked some BS after the game about 'putting it on the line to try and get the win' (suggesting that if it was a minor round game they would have limited the damage, but that sounds like a cop out to me) but I didn't notice anything obvious.
To me he just sat on his hands and hoped it would right itself.
They simply won’t acknowledge their gifted fixture and hence their artificial ladder position. They’re also in denial about their flakey list.
Long may they live in denial. Long may Ken rein. Long may Koch lead them into oblivion chasing rainbows in China.
He would have to sit on his face, that's where his hands were most of the game.To me he just sat on his hands and hoped it would right itself.
Beating Port again isn’t so far away. One ounce of luck and it would have happened not so many weeks ago.Any chance they can actually get a fixture that is representative of their finishing position?
Things could actually go very pear shaped (see what I did there) if we could start beating them regularly (some time away yet)
Schofield's fault they lost now.
WCE talking to him distracted the players.

The point was about Port's list being middle-of-the-road in terms of average age, not so much about Adelaide's.Our demographics would have changed a fair bit after the loss of Gibbs, Talia, Lynch and DMac.
I wish Brisbane made it instead of the Dogs. Need some interstate flavour (not Port). It just occurred to me that I may be disappointed with the GF this year.
Nothing can compare to what happened last weekend
I think they DID have that, but its slowly being left behind.I wish Brisbane made it instead of the Dogs. Need some interstate flavour (not Port).
I'm confident Brisbane would have beaten up on Port in the prelim as well.
My care factor for the GF is super low. I dislike both teams but if you held a gun to my head I'd say go Dogs. Dees have that smug, privileged, rich private school aura about them I can't stand.

Late 90’s/Early 2000’s they also had a period where they choked in the finals..Surely after Saturday's night game, the supporters must believe that this is "Port Adelaide football", choking in major games.
They have a rich history in the AFL of choking.
Go through their history that begun in 1997, they choked many times on big occasions when favorites especially.

Lever?I’m backing Melbourne for Goodwin’s sake.
Plus I love the way Max Gawn goes about things.
