It seems there are quite a few very cheap forwards for the Hawks. Mitch Lewis $199,500 Jonathon Patton $189,800 and Jarman Impey $212,800 surely one of them is a must have with Gunston not playing early on.

I know Lewis is highly regarded within Hawthorn and has shown glimpses but nothing of substance yet. Patton is the unluckiest guy in footy and when he plays he isn't even that good tbh. Impey is the safest of the three, having averaged 74 the other year. If he plays off half back he might get back to that point or better. Tldr: Lewis a watch. Patton no. Impey yes.

Danger over Dunkley for sure. If you can get both, well played.

Danger has a high ceiling, should be more midfield with Cameron there but can still impact when playing forward.

I totally agree Jarman Impey at $212,800 is a definate lock at a rookie price will probably only average 70 but will play every week.

Whether Impey is a good pick or not depends on where Hawthorn play him. I'm a bit worried about the fact that he was getting played up forward late last year, I can say from experience watching him at Port that he won't score in that role. As a defender though he should go 70+.

I love the fact that there is 4 cheap arse fwds under 315K that we get the pleasure of watching through the Wizard Cup without changing our basic teams structure.
