I'd understand if I was sitting anywhere near an aisle or the middle of the bay but I just got an email saying I've been moved from bay 131 to 144 and I'm not too pleased about it tbh. Pretty terrible general admission seating, the $35 Port store voucher as a sorry just isn't going to cut it when I pledged the full amount last year too. Should be great sitting next to the oppo cheer squad, especially for the low drawing teams, absolute cracking atmosphere with no stadium behind me for the sound to echo around either.

All for a virus that hasn't been in the community 🤣

As pissed off as the 4,000 members might be who have been moved, if we go back to 25% to 50% capacity levels, everyone will lose their reserved seats and we will have to go back to the ballot system.

I actually hope it does, I'll get better seats than what I've been moved to.

Yep, my upgraded package is affected & trying to complete this ****ed form on my phone is impossible trying to put in codes for four people. So guess I’ll have to sort it out when I get home and settle for the nosebleeds.

I got the same 'seats affected' but empty list email... Turns out that one of my two seats (next to each other) is affected and the other isn't, but I've effectively been cut off from my group... Pretty annoyed, will have to email the club and hope that they sort through the deluge of people with the same issue... What a mess

Edit: Both my seats now affected

I emailed them to confirm which seats and to their credit I had a new email back within 10 minutes showing both seats impacted.

I’ll go with the flow with my reallocation. They are working with a reduced size team and trying their best.

I’m moving and I’m absolutely filthy with it.

moving from decent seats to shit seats, oh wow I got a $35 voucher..wowee

Disgraceful that 24 year members are moved and yet I know of people who are 2 year members staying put. And we get lesser seats.. pledged my memberships last year, go rain hail and shine, sat through all of their most shitfull performances including 119 and back to back 100pt drubbings and every other finals choke or bed shit and despite that I’m moved to a shit seat And I’m meant to be happy with it..

I often wonder whether this club values long term members or all its after is pleasing newbies

The club don't have a choice. They need to comply with the pods system.

how many 11 game members do we have. Look after them and if ya have to move them, move them to equivalent bloody seats not shitbix next to the opps cheer squad members

move the bloody 3 game members..

move the pet members

Just found out that 2 of our group of 6 are impacted. I believe they are 2/3 tickets that belong to one family in that group.

We have 23,000 reserved seat members ie 11 game members. Steve Shirley said on AA about 10 days ago we have to move 4,000 of them.

11 game GA members and the 3/6/country/flexi/interstate members with access to 1 or 2 games at AO, don't have access to reserved seat areas. They will have to get an allocated seat, but they have always at AO only had access to the GA areas.

I was worried the club was putting on too much of a happy face when they said the 75% capacity meant 82% of reserved seat members will get to sit in their seats and it was all really good news. Some of the 4,000 would get seats comparable with their normal seats, but the majority weren't. some groups would get split up.

That's happened to my sister's group of 7 or 8. When she sent me a text this arvo, her and her husband were moved 2 bays, her son and another one of my sisters kept their seat, and she was going to ring the others tonight and find out if they have been moved.

we are the same, group of 8 sent to all different parts of the ground.. gee thanks port

if they can’t find an equivalent seat then find us a better seat not a shit seat next to the oppo cheersquad

Club 1870 member, fully pledged last year, member for 31 years. Bay 334 Seat 9 and 10 yet only my seat has been relocated. That sucks.

No relocation is going to be comparable to that.

None of this is the club's fault. Be pissed off if you like but direct your anger where it's appropriate.

My guess the other day was that they might eliminate all of Row F rather than some seats. I'm in 335 and did this the other day, and put it up on page 8 of this thread. 334 would be the same size. I was told the aisle seats wont need to be moved as the aisle and stairwell provides enough of a distance between pods

But if the SMA/SA health are anal they will probably remove row F as Row G between bays 333-337 is the first row of the Stadium Club members row.

If they eliminate Row F seat the pod becomes 116 people

I'm feeling lucky tonight, was worried my family would be split up, but excited that my family has retained our premium seats.

Sorry to hear about those that lucked out. It sounds shit, and I hope you all get put back into your groups in your new seats.

Let's just hope this is repealed pretty quickly as the vaccine rolls out. But in the mean time your small sacrifice means way more people get to go to games, our team gets the support they deserve and we have a far better atmosphere deserving of the Portress.

And/or for anyone really unhappy, just remember we're 1 case of community transmission away from going back to a ballot anyway. So it's safe to say that nothing's set in stone yet.

It's not up to the club which seats were taken out of play, but they do determine how they allocate members to the available seats.
