Thanks mate. One of my mates is a club member also so I assume I can buy his ticket at the same time I buy mine? I would like to sit together.

You can buy up to 6 Tickets per Membership as that what is was for the Richmond Game

It doesn’t, you have to use your barcode to book a ticket on a game by game basis. Ticketek or Ticketmaster depending on venue, issue a digital ticket that has to be downloaded to your phone and that is what gets scanned for entry to a game. Paper/email tickets won’t be issued and membership cards can’t be scanned for entry either.

Makes attendance tricky for oldies and kids that don’t have a smartphone.
Yep, after losing a phone at the footy, I never take mine and now I just print the barcode.

Actually can't get in to the Footy this year without a Phone/Device Sadly
I have been getting into the AFLW games this way, no problems. Am not taking my phone as don't really need it.

Yes, all that is needed is the barcodes for the transaction - 6 seats is the maximum booking limit.

Yep, after losing a phone at the footy, I never take mine and now I just print the barcode.

For some reason, they are saying digital only to comply with contact tracing requirements. It doesn’t really make sense when a member barcode is allocated to each seat so the name & contact details are known through the membership irrespective of the format of ticket. I think it is just a convenient excuse to push people to digital tickets. I read the FAQs on digital ticketing on both the Ticketek and Ticketmaster websites as I haven’t used them before, I’m rather old school in that I prefer to print the emailed ticket. Both sites did say something about going to a box office window at the venue to obtain an alternate if a smartphone digital ticket wasn’t possible.

I’m not sure how I will manage it for my parents as they have a basic mobile phone each but not a smartphone as such and I don’t fancy queuing up at a ticket window to show id in order to get a paper ticket issued for them each game. You may have to take your phone Maggie just to avoid the hassle.

Although (4) tickets are sent to my phone when I purchase, I still have only printed the barcode and haven't had a problem at the four women's games I have attended to date.

I will just send them to my granddaughters phone in case, she is never without hers. Glued to her hand I think.

Ticketing Process for Members
Ticketing for matches with a reduced crowd-capacity will be run on a game-by-game basis.

Once tickets become available for a given round, members will be able to use their membership barcode number(s) to redeem their complimentary ticket(s).

This process is run through the relevant ticketing agency (e.g. Ticketek for MCG games), so at no stage will you need to send any seating requests to the Club directly.

Once details of each round are confirmed by the AFL we will communicate further information to members with the specific details and ticketing details.

Please note that no paper tickets will be issued for these games. All tickets will be digital and accessible through your Ticketek/Ticketmaster accounts (not MyMagpies).

If you ae unable to complete the ticket-redemption process online, you are welcome to call Ticketek (MCG games) or Ticketmaster (Marvel Stadium games) on the dedicated assistance lines below:

Ticketek: 1300 665 915 (9:00am – 5:00pm, Mon-Sat)
Ticketmaster: 1300 883 622 (9:00am – 5:00pm, weekdays and weekends)

Member Ticketing Windows
Different membership categories will grant access to specific ticket-redemption windows for Collingwood FC home games in Victoria with reduced crowd capacities ahead of the general public.

All AFL teams are employing a similar process for their home games in Melbourne.

The reason for this is to ensure that members are given as much chance as possible to allocate a seat similar to what they usually hold as part of their membership.

As noted above, exact process and timings for each round will be communicated once available.

For their away games in Victoria, clubs will only have one ticket-redemption window for their members.

Finding Your Barcode Number(s)
Your membership barcode number is no longer printed on your membership card. This is because AFL ticketing has gone digital for the 2021 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Click here to view your barcode number in your MyMagpies account. This barcode should be the same across all games that you have access to, although it is subject to change given the nature of ticketing in the pandemic.

To log into MyMagpies you generally require a unique email address in your Collingwood FC account, i.e. multiple members can’t share the same email address to log in.

To be clear, members will only need to redeem tickets for games with a reduced crowd-capacity. Members will not need to undertake this process once games return to full capacity.

Children, dependants, or other members who do not have a unique email address can be linked to another member’s account. For example, children’s accounts can be linked through to a single parent or guardian.

Many members will already be linked to their associated accounts. To switch between linked accounts, follow these steps:

  1. sign in to the main member’s MyMagpies account;
  2. select ‘switch accounts’ from the drop-down menu in the top-right hand corner of the dashboard;
  3. select the name/membership number of the account you’d like to view.
To provide a unique email address, or to link accounts, please contact the membership team using the details below.

Additional Ticketing Information
Tickets for groups:
Members will have the opportunity to register for tickets using the barcode numbers of multiple members to ensure that they are all seated together. There will be a 'transaction limit' of six (6) tickets.

For a group to have seats allocated together their tickets must be booked in the same order.

Booking fees:
No Ticketek or Ticketmaster booking fee will be charged for member tickets.

Accessible Seating:
Members who have specific seating requirements due to a medical condition are welcome to contact the Ticketek or Ticketmaster accessibility hotline to organise suitable seats.

Ticketek: 1300 665 915 (9:00am – 5:00pm, Mon-Sat)
Ticketmaster: 1300 883 622 (9:00am – 5:00pm, weekdays and weekends)

How are tickets issued?
Please note that no paper tickets will be issued for these games. All tickets will be digital and accessible through your Ticketek/Ticketmaster accounts (not MyMagpies).

To set up these accounts (if you haven’t already), click here for Ticketek and here for Ticketmaster.

AFL members with Club Support:
Because AFL member ticketing is handled through AFL Membership Services (as opposed to through the Club directly) please note that the information on this web-page may not apply to you. Please contact AFL Membership Services for information specific to your membership

What about taking a screenshot of the QR/barcode and then printing it out and taking that to the gate (leaving phone at home)?

That is what I have been doing for AFLW games and it works well.

Got in much quicker than everybody holding their phone up, sometimes scanning well other times doing it again.

Hope that this is not the way to get into when AFL games start.

ive had trouble with the online portal recently. I stopped receiving emails from the club around October. When I logged into the portal to check my details, an old email account that I stopped using 20 years ago was listed as my contact address. I tried to change it to my normal address but it wouldn’t accept it, even though that email address is my actual username for the portal. I emailed the club 3-4 weeks ago and still no response. I put in my work email address and I’m now getting emails again.

Will they let each member buy a ticket next to them for someone that isn’t a member?

If it’s during the one of the membership ticket windows then I wouldn’t have thought so. You would need a membership barcode for everyone you’d like to buy for unless you want to wait until the general admission window.

You could buy 6 Extra Tickets for the Richmond Game on Marvel
