Anyone else thinking about Rocky? His last 11 games went 103,134,104,80,126,110,119,142,144,122,99
Yeah I had him for that block of games...he was brilliant for the 440k I paided for him.
I wouldnt start with him but I'd pick him after his usual injury game after the byes.

Serong for sure, I actually think Noah Anderson will average more than LDU this year as well. Had a mini breakout at the end of last season:

They're all very draft relevant, you'd have to have a giant sack to select any in standard SC!

Keep in mind that this UNIT wasn’t playing...

Listened to Cameron talk about GWS needing to fix up their midfield work in an interview - 4 mids he mentioned when talking about fixing their work around the contested ball were Coniglio, Kelly, Hopper and Ward. Was hoping for a cheeky Taranto/Green plug but didn't come up.

Also late night pondering, are we potentially overrating the scores needed to be a midfield keeper this season?

I've seen a few mention some high scores, but looking at the data from previous years 105 and above will put you in very good shape as a team.

2020 - 19 109+ mids
2019 - 10 109+ mids
2018 - 9 109+ mids
2017 - 11 109 + mids

A pretty substantial jump for obvious reasons, but it's making me reconsider my top heavy approach if the likes of Cripps, Simpkin, Rowell and Coniglio can hit 105 at the 500-520k price range.

Back in the day the midfield was where all the points were. Now we got blokes like Lloyd down back, God tier rucks like Gawn and Grundy, always a few FWD DPP players that go big. So yeah, think it's OK to go lighter in the middle, especially if you're starting very expensive players like Lloyd, Laird, Gawn, Grundy, Dunkley, Marshall, etc

Bingo.

Seeing a lot of people throw around suggestions of player X managing 110+ ppg this season.

110+ is not an easy task.
Last year the bulk scaling helped the rich get richer and poor stay dogshit.

This season will be back to the norm and a lot of people will be stuck with 90 odd PPG scorers.

Those 4 need to fix their own work to play or they will be the ones given the task of fixing the midfield?

I interpreted it as those 4 pushing each other to improve and subsequently improving the midfield at the contest.

Who knows though, I'd love Green to get a crack at it - think he'll be a much better player for the Giants than Hopper is.

Thanks, I assumed that was the case which probably puts a line through Green for me as a starter.

Fun Fact: In 2018 AND 2019 only 7 current SC Mids averaged 110+

Reckon folk are getting carried away with all the 450-550K mids. Realistically one or two might go 110+. If you are picking Gawndy, Lloyd and Neale then you have to suffer somewhere, so coaches are talking themselves into picking blokes like cunnington hoping for a big jump in average. Reckon Cripps is the best bet from that group to go SP, after that who knows.
