Thinking I’ll start with Josh Kelly. I know his injury prone, but if he goes on a tear and averages 130 in the first 6 weeks you’re gonna look to get him in. So if you trade him in and then he gets injured you’re burning two trades.

Imo you either need to start with him or not get him at all. Similar to Fyfe the last few years.

Agree if you like him you have to start him. His injury record is very concerning though.

So he's more like Mitch Duncan who is also not quite a SP

Cheers for replying. Do we think he gets enough inside time to justify the price tag? The goals help, but his scores were inflated last season as they were for just about everyone who averaged 100. Fwiw, I also think people are reading too much into the interchange caps. AFL is an athlete’s game. Everyone’s more than fit enough to run out a game well. Being fitter than most isn’t gonna be that much of an advantage I don’t think. I’ll watch him in his preseason match and see how he goes tho, cos a 105+ average at that price is a no brainer pick.

I would say his floor is Duncan and ceiling would be close to Josh Kelly 4th year where he took off.

That campaigner is on my never again list, traded him in last year, put the C on him and then he gets himself knocked out by his own dopey ruckman. Second time I've had him and he got hurt quickly. I've learnt my lesson. Gun player when going well though.

As a more general point I don't understand why you'd start such an injury prone player? Surely you want your starting premo's to be a good chance of playing 22 games?

How much actual mid minutes did Cerra actually play in 2020 ? ...... pincrusher youve got him in your side ?

I'mstill wary of 2nd year players, so Serong i'm tipping 5 points off 2020 points ave
Yep I've got Cerra. Might yet make way for LDU or Simpkin but he's there at the moment. Pretty sure he moved to the mids in the second half of the season, but Freo supporters would be more help there than I.

I wouldn't put faith in Longmanure with any of his current crop of mids, he's still a new coach and will shuffle his players around till he finds that winning formula.

I'd post the Steve Buscemi gif every time Paddy Dow is so much as mentioned on here, except that would imply that he was ever on my list in the first place.

I've been seeing so much of that Steve Buscemi gif lately that I had a sudden urge to watch Con Air the other night. Garland Greene would have made a brilliant SC.

Am I the only one that thinks Steele might be the most overpriced player due to scaling? Saints didn't have many good scorers so he got scaled up heaps last year. and he's never got close to what he scored last year. i know he had a role change but I feel like he's more around the 105-110 range the 122.5 of last year.
is this a sh*tpost?

he had the same disposal count as 2019 but in shorter quarters, stopped tagging and kicked 8 more goals in 5 less games. Steele is the man.

No it was just my honest opinion.if you look at his stats from last year he was heavily scaled up due to saints having no good scorers. I could be wrong but I think he’s overpriced by a fair bit. Maybe the longer quarters help him and I’m wrong. Just think he’s far too big of a risk at over 650k to start.

If your going to start anyone in the $650k range Jack Macrae is the man. Three year average of 127,123,121 and is probably the only Bulldog that dosen't have question make about where he will play.
