Which only fuels vaccine hesitancy. There are plenty of people who do far more important jobs than an AFL footballer who have voluntarily got it and if they had an extremely rare negative reaction over and above what you might describe as a hangover, then they took it on the chin.They know the vaccine is likely to make them crook. People react differently. Some are bedridden for a week or more while others have little or no bad reactions. They won't risk missing a game and that is why they are waiting for the end of the season.

I just can’t take footballers getting on their pedestal to take a stance that us little folk should get the vaccine and they will too, when it doesn’t interfere with their kickball … even though any interference is highly unlikely …. And they can manage to get a jab early in the week so won’t impact game day
