Okay really needing some help, can't seem to find much!
3rd year, 3k overall.
I was going to trade Clarke or degoey but already had 4 donuts on my bench this week and should prioritise cash gen and 0 donuts and be boring.
Surely people are in a similar boat, HOW DO WE DO THAT WHEN WE WONT KNOW IF HALF OUR BENCH IS PLAYING UNTIL ITS TOO LATE 😂

do we think Highmore and Bergman play this week? Do kozi and Brockman get dropped?(won't know until Saturday night) does Clarke keep his spot with 15 disposals at 92 percent effiency with a goal?

Hoping someone can help that's in a similar position 😂 otherwise I'll just trade whoever I think gets dropped first.

There in lies the problem with this rolling lockout and teams being announced at the last second.

I think I'll just keep doing the trades I want without jumping at shadows. If they get dropped and I've got no trades I can deal with them next week.

Highmore/kosi I think are too cheap to trade even if they're not in their best 22 this week. Worth waiting 1-2 weeks to see if they can get back in.

As much as we like your insights and appreciate your feedback maybe its time for you to keep the cards close to your chest. You r now a serious contender for the car.

It goes against my nature haha, as I love our sharing in this lovely harmonious area of BF that we've carved out.

I do get your point though, and it's actually crazy to think that I'd actually be sitting in first if not for a couple of little things that went wrong.

With that said, it is a verryyyy looooooonnng season, and we're only in Week 3 - so I doubt anything I reveal now is going to jeopardize my ranking/position. Everyone can see everyone else's teams by looking at the ranking, and no-one else in here is in the Top 10 from what I can see.

Once we get to the byes though, I'll probably take an oath of silence, haha - as that's when it starts getting really serious.

Cheers for the belief mate, it really is quite unbelievable the position I'm in and I'm not gonna lie, I am starting to get quite competitive/research intensive about it all now, haha.

Onwards and upwards from here hopefully!

Its not just the ranking mate you have a really strong team and nailed the good rooks. It is early but cant think of a better start.

Haha cheers. It has been pleasing to have started 1200th Week 1, moved to 197 week 2, and then 11th Week 3. Means my side is getting better each week, rather than just going 'sideways', so to speak.

Hardwick was a misstep, and in hindsight I would have left Highmore and traded Sharp instead, and then brought Jiath in as a less risky option. Can always rectify that though by just getting in another decent rook (like I think Burgess will be) and upgrading Hardwick this round ending, so that my defence is rock solid (hoping to have Ridley and Mills as upgrades after 1 more week of data this week/getting the good rooks in Burgess and Robertson) :)

There was a moment Neale got a mark on the FWD 50 line .....not a COLL player within 15 mtrs of him ...unforgiveable
Also, no one near Rich when he ran past for the running shot on goal. Probably the most dangerous (with Short perhaps) in that scenario and surely something spoken about in planning. Hard to believe.
Kozi, Brockman, Meek all potentially dropped, on top of Hunter, Sharp, Young, Highmore, Bergman..... hopefully the last 2 will get selected but this could be a horrible week.

Not sure we can go doing sideways trades as much as i'd like to get rid of De Goey.
Brockman looked overawed by the occasion for much of the game but attacked everything hard in the last quarter. Would be surprised if he was dropped, was a major part of the pressure that nearly overhauled Geelong.
What's more of a priority?
Trading out JDG or Clarke?
That was my choice last Thursday but had no way of knowing if Clark was playing. De Goey could always have a good game especially against a decimated GWS. Clark just isn't performing and thus far never has.
I could go Heppell and Clark to Gaff and Ridley which is super tempting. Drains my whole bank.
Well, if it isn't for bringing in premiums; what is it for? And it doesn't earn interest in the bank. Only reason not to spend it, is if you have another plan that you're still working toward.

I need to speak with the AFL manager. Does anyone know the phone number? I'm seriously going to go Karen soon. Rowell, Danger, Caldwell, Witts and Young now? I want a gift certificate or something. Its getting to the point where I'm just going to bend over and grab my ankles at the first center bounce of the round

Beware DevRob. Just an omission waiting to happen. If Highmore/Hunter/Bergman are already out, and there’s question marks on Kozi, Scott and Brockman...spare yourself the pain.

Top 4 team, Berry back next week, for senior players in the twos, and a precedent set with Sharp. Alarm bells

So of the 6 possible trades so far, how many have been forced for you?

I'm at 4 (Rowell, Caldwell, Young, Cogs) but I'm sure there are people out there who have all 6 when you consider Dangerthug, Witts, Heppell, etc).

And no, Patty Dow doesn't count.

4 for me. Rowell, Young, Webster & Danger

hanging on to a top 1,000 rank

General thought on Cumming?

78,91,91. Averaging 86. GWS looking to him coming out of D50

BE 19
I'm on board, surely has his spot solidified as well? Idun would be the likely omission of any down there?

Rowell, Caldwell, Harmes, Dangersnake, Young

Thank F*** I didn't go Witts at the start of the season

At least I have the 'luxury' of trading Dow out this week :drunk:

Ranked 856th

I think samFFC is 2nd!

Edit. Think he was second for weekly score

Ranking dropped from 180 to 670 this week due to trading out Gaff for Brayshaw, cost me 90 points!!

I've come to the conclusion that Tex is a must have.
Top scorer, great matchups coming, negative B/E, all for $550k!!

Dow > Dev
JDG > Tex

Leaves me with $204K to do a down/up and get Clark to someone decent next week

Very tempted by Gaff this week at $754k. Priced at 101 for a guy who should average at least 105-110 from here you'd expect.

its not a coincedence his one good game was with Shuey in the side. and guess who's out again!! Id wait a week and see if we go back to Gaff before Shuey again. They were actively looking for him on the weekend, and he won't take 13 marks a game either. So I think its safe to wait a week or so and see if he can do it without Shuey first.

Yeh, just watch (as we all should) the Job O'Connor is doing for Geelong. Tagging everyone out of the game and has Gaff in 2 weeks.

Thought about my trades this week, "ok, if Highmore is named I can maybe upgrade DBJ to Ridley or Lloyd"
Checked the schedule, Ess v Syd Thursday, St Kilda Saturday, so can't even do that.
Bangs head on wall for another week.

After round 6 might be better, gets the O'Connor tag out of the way and also guys like Gulden could move forward opening a spot.
(Although, Geelong are a fair chance to want to shut Tim Kelly right out of the game)

He looked amazing on the weekend. He was in everything. As an owner I'm stoked to have held.

BUT, if you have other pressing moves I'd perhaps give Gaff one more week. Shuey's role in the team cannot be underestimated... he's amazing at finding that bit of space or time and rarely blazes away unless needed.

Sheed/Kelly are see ball/grab ball/throw ball on the boot forward sort of players. Shuey finds space and knows Gaff will be somewhere nearby in space for the release if needed.

Without Shuey, Gaff could yet find himself in no mans land once more.

His BE is nothing you need to jump at right now. Could be worth waiting one more to see how he goes without Shuey.

Dow > Walker
Young > Burgess

Leaves me with $240k in the bank. Idea would be to upgrade Walker to someone like Dusty or Danger in a few weeks depending on how those go.

Just had to get Dow out after that performance, and Young to Burgess is a pretty decent downgrade I think.
