Trades 2021 Round 5 Fantasy Trades

I think the comments I heard was Marshall up against it to be right for Thursday.
Ryder is currently training but also up against it to be ready.
I'd give Hunter a good chance to be back in for this week.

Phew. Traded Witts to Marshall last week. Looking like an inspired move until he go injured 2nd 1/4.

Third consecutive week of forced trades due to injury, my rookies are going to suffer because of this. Really can't catch a break-

Adams > Stewart (Sharp to mids, Berry on field)
Butters > Ziebell

Really ugly trades however cash is slim and currently copping a zero in the backs. Ziebell is an inspired pick to say the least however he is racking it up and Macdonald going down again should see this continue. Stewart is a lock for top 8 and is the best option sub 700k imo.

Damn looking at that Petracca average hurts, was my pod in the pre season that i was so sure was going to be a top 8 mid and no one was keen on just because he lost the shine of having forward status...

Yep I'm on the same train of thought. Hoping for a double rookie downgrade next week in preparation of swinging him and Hind to def for a pair of fwd premos in the following weeks...

Better than Daniel on the weekend.... It was bloody frustrating as an owner to see him finally get into space, ready for the overlap handball - only for the umpires to call it back or give it to Brisbane....

I can make it work, but need a 170k defender to be named. And would need to move Idun to D6 and Rowe/Bergman to F6, worth it you reckon? Or chase the value in ROB?

Tough one and if i end up getting a ruck it is highly likely to be ROB because i am broke but i would go up to Gawn any way possible without gutting my team personally.

I think Idun at D6 is fine and you can rock Rowe at F6 for a week or two if need be.

Caleb out for a week gives me the chance to go up to Gawn or Grundy but hold Oleg for one more. Hmmmm

Feels a little sideways, leaves Burgess and Rowe on field and puts my bench rookies in a bit of a state so ain't ideal but lets me sleep without worrying about Flynn being in/out every 3rd week. Kelly was always my break glass in case of Max Gawn

Saints/Tigers first up on Thursday doesnt force any trades early. Get an early answer on Highmore but probably need to hold this week regardless due to the early game.

Saturday teams will give an answer on Flynn which will then determine my trades.

But the Thursday game perhaps gives him a glimmer of hope if they have any sore players who dont bounce back in time?

Can't see it happening unfortunately. If they didn't require him against the Eagles tall forward line, doubt he would be required against a comparatively smaller Richmond forward line

Thought I would finally sign up and seek some opinions after Flynn and Sloane caused absolute carnage on team last week, especially as I was locked into my trades after bringing Ridley in,.

Was looking to clean up some of my lower priced under performers/rooks this week but Sloane and Butters have forced my hand. Dow is going to somehow survive again.

My defence is fine for now (Lloyd, Laird, Riley, Cumming, Fantasia, Idun). Midfield needs some work (Merret, Brayshaw, Wines, Dunkley, Serrong, Jordan, Gulden, Sloane) and FWD needs work (Butters, Phillips, Hind, Warner, Treacy, Rowe) and Rucks are a worry with Gawn and Flynn, but have some protection via Treacy and T. Campbell (if he gets named again).

I am thinking either a) Sloane to Macrae & Butters to Cox which leaves me with $28k in the bank and not much wiggle room for next round of trades or b) Sloane to Danger & Butters to Cox which leaves cash of $114k for next week. Danger has BE of 120 but does have North this week so hopefully will not fall in value to much. Also will be relatively unique after he got traded out post suspension. I like the look of Cox and his DPP status/Price but happy for dissenting opinions here.

Aim is to be able to move some off the Mid DPPs (Dunk/Danger) to FWD next week and get some cover through my mids but Flynn at R2 has now also become a bit of a worry.

I was hoping to maybe get away with fielding him or Kozi for a week then I may be able to find away to get the big fella Gawn and never think of rucks again until Grundy pulls a heart muscle.

Butters to Ward
Kosi to Jones/Burgess

With all the outs at GWS Ward seems to have a friendly role. Has averaged around 100 a few times so if he can get to that for a few weeks I’m laughing. Bringing him in frees some cash to bring in one of the rookie defenders and keep the cash flow coming.

Will hold Daniel for a week if he’s suspended and play one of Idun/Jones/Burgess. Will be a top defender come seasons end and can’t justify moving him on at a loss.
