Personally I think trading out Tex is a bad move.
Must be so many other mid pricers or under performing players who go first.

Between now and his bye Tex has Hawthorn, GWS, Port, WC, Melb, Rich, Coll, and St. Kilda.
I think he could easily go big in 2-3 of those games and avg 90+ until his bye. His price might top out at $700k but I'll ride that happily until rd13!!
His form was never the issue, it's how much his injury hinders him and whether he can get through all the games.
A nice draw means nothing if he can't get on the park.

My question about Farrar is what happened 1st half vs 2nd half.. was on about 25 at the half and then sky rocketed. Was it a role change? Or more that GC were actually competitive which wasnt the case early? Anyone actually watch him?
There are no points on offer for watching the ball sail over your head for a goal would be my guess on the first half

Feel like he's gonna have to be traded out over the next month with that run coming up but I don't see him as this priority out this week that others do. Bit of a sideways trade imo when at this stage of the season you really should be starting to think about downgrading non-playing rookies and/or upgrading rookies on field.

Unless we get confirmation he's out he can stick around for the next two for me before the WC game.

If Tex is fit yes, but with my eyes I think Tex has a calf issue, his second half last week was at odds with his out put recently. I'll be looking for evidence that he's trained well this week otherwise he's off to the glue factory for me!

If the news on Jones and Campbell is correct, then it's definitely going to be rookie swaps for me this week.

Jones > Bergman
Campbell > Macrae jnr

That's still going to leave me with a very thin bench... I'll be lucky if I actually have an emergency on each line.

Exactly my thoughts too.

At a guess, I'd say it'd be:

OUT: Campbell (rested), Buddy (injured), Hickey (injured)
IN: Rowbottom, Sinclair, McLean
Seems likely.

I think I can just hold Campbell as a loophole option and emergency Rowe this week

I think Ward/Cunnington are good moves. With cash generation starting to dry up across the board, might need a few of these 500-550k tykes to get us up to those big dogs. And those 2 mentioned should give you 80-100 every week
Yep, good advice! It's hard to split the two: Cunnington has a fantastic fixture, but Ward comes with less injury risk.

The other option is Sholl, but I think I've missed the boat on him, and I'm not convinced he'll score consistently.

Just repeat to yourself over and over again...'at least I never had De Goey...at least I never had De Goey...at least I never had De Goey' - and you'll feel much better :)

Maybe I should trade him in to complete the set ??

My team looks like a dogs breakfast but I’m somehow ranked 821 overall.

Thinking of doing a risky (dumb maybe) move this week as cover for the next time Flynn gets rested. I can’t get Flynn/Hunter up to Gawn without wrecking my teams structure and seems a waste to have held Flynn last week to trade him out this week.

I went early on Macrae last week, so I’m looking at something like Campbell to McNeill/McCreery and Jordan to.....Sean Darcy.

Averaging 85 and is coming off two scores in the 80’s and a 101 last week. BE of 52 and has gained fwd status.

I know his injury history and it’s probably a silly move, but gives me the flexibility to move him into the rucks when Flynn is rested again.

Team looks like

DEF - Laird, Short, Duggan, Markov, Hardwick, Fantasia (Jones/Highmore)

MID - Macrae, Merrett, Dunkley, Gaff, Taranto, Green, Gulden, Powell (Robertson/Scott)

RUCK - Grundy, Flynn (Hunter)

FWD - Phillips, Stephenson, Darcy, Hind, Warner, Macrae (Rowe/McCreery)

UTILITY - Brockman.

Thoughts?
