What averages are we thinking are acceptable for F4-6? I'm thinking 90 but it's pretty slim pickins

To the rolling 22 thread!
I think 90 would be ideal. Jelly and Fyfe sneak in for now and hopefully higher by the end. I will hold Stepho if he stays at this level.

Anyone looking at Heeney in a couple of weeks?

I have 4 pozzies to fill in the Fwd line and he would make a handy F6, have Dunkley and Martin, will get Ziebull soonish, maybe Jelly and Fyfe for the other 2?

Absolutely not for me!

Sidebottom, Greene better options.
Danger when he is back?

I feel like everyone, myself included, have been a bit harsh on Stephenson. 4/5 have been 80+. He’s ticking along ok. A real decent run of games until his bye as well bar probably Melbourne who are a tough one for him

Yup at his price he is shaping as an F6 keeper so I’m happy with that!

Is the Tex concern legitimate?
At this stage doing rookie swap for Macrae and upgrading to Dunkley. Can do either Serong or Tex to him. If Tex is potentially out might as well be him otherwise Serong goes.
He died in the ass last week. Even if he plays reckon he’s restricted.

It’s because the bar was set unrealistically high after his 128 in round 1. We forget he was only priced @ 66 and round 2 aside he’s gone 86 last 3.

A 20 point increase on original price is generally the pass mark for a mid pricer.

Problem with him is we ain't gonna know if he's out until most of us will be locked into our trades. If you knew he was in I'd probably ditch Serong because Tex *could* be a top 6 FWD while Serongs no hope but as is probably Tex out.

I'm keeping and hoping he plays alright so I can do the trades I actually want to do.

I feel for the people who traded him out after his poor round 2 score. There was a lot on here...

Cheers.
Happy either way. I doubt Tex gets top 6 from here with the DPPs added so am comfortable jumping off.

You're right. I traded him out after R3 to get Gawn when Witts went down. Can't say I regret that given Max has given me back-to-back 260s a skipper, but I wish I'd moved on Phillips instead of Stepho. He's looking like a solid option to hold onto for those that still have him.

Stepho’s heat map while we’re on him. Just roams around following the play which is what you want to see

Although he does go missing a bit, when he’s on he does pop up all over the shop. Gets kicks in the back pocket, half back flank, wing and drifts forward to kick goals. Other than Dunkley, and to a lesser extent Ziebell there isn’t really a must have forward . You’ve got a bit of a logjam of players in that 85-95 bracket of which Stephenson is one. So although I don’t think he’s top 6, he could definitely be an F6 at seasons end as let’s face it, you never finish with the actual best 22 premiums

He gave away 13 last week with an easy miss on goal (-5) and a handball to McAdam which should have been a goal to him (-8).

If he kicked those two, he'd be 87. For a guy I got for $470k, I'll stick with him for another week or so.

Yeah I'm the same too. Was always out at the end of Round 7, but if he has a bad game this week/hampered by his calf, I'll just get rid of him first instead of Phillips

Will caution that with the caveat that he was very lucky to get the 91 he got last week, as we pretty much switched off at stage/didn't take them seriously enough once we got on top. 2 goals later in the match, plus a couple of easy +6's, pushed his score from a likely 60-70, up to that 90 mark. Reckon he won't get that lucky every week once other players start coming back/he's stuck in the forward pocket and not getting easy goals/possessions. Can't see him averaging above 80 come the end of the year IMO - especially once the Roos have a decent contingent to pick from.

Double down for me this week in preparation to patch up my ruckline, so.

Campbell > Macrae Jnr
Meek > Mansell

Gives me 200k to help bring in RO'B (who's averaged 107 over his last 3) for Gulden and Kosi.

Then the week after, Flynn & Rowe for Marshall (who will be moved forward around the byes) & a cheap rookie.

I see value in RO'B as he's dropped 144k after a slow start although he doesn't have the best run up to the byes but a shitload better prospect than having Treacy at R2 and should see me nearly 100 pts/game better off.

I reckon Marshall could end up a top 6 Fwd (providing the bone stress has cleared up) and he will be moved Fwd once Gawn/Grundy come in, which will probably be after rnd 14. Just need Flynn to play for 2 more weeks. If Flynn keeps getting rested for 2 out of 5 weeks then that's also a big win pts wise.

The plan with the all rookie ruckline was to prioritise that line 1st with upgrades and to have them done by rnd 8. Been a bit of a pity that I've copped 2 donuts there in the last 2 weeks and have had to field Treacy but it's a risk I took allowing me the luxury of picking 12 of the best players/line and holding all bar one (Gaff:drunk:) My upgrades now can be centred around value picks for D5-6, M7-8 and F3-6.
