I'm thinking now is the time to jump off Markov and Short, they've been great starting team picks but still...

My other options would likely be Fantasia, Gulden, Sholl, Crouch (who I just traded in or he'd be gone, looked so bad Sunday) or maybe Phillips.

Anyone got an argument for holding Short or Markov?
you’re doing well if Markov and Short are your biggest issues

I’d love to offload Short but that won’t be happening for weeks

Actually giving some serious thought to Lloyd. Last 4 average of 109, 4 consecutive tons. Still probably the number 1 or 2 defender tbh. Dropped 100k off starting price. Great bye round
Get my boy Callum Mills if you don't have him. Had him all year absolute STUD

Yeah now there doesn’t seem to be that concussion issue I’ve slowly been convincing myself that I may need to grab Ziebell over Lloyd this week. Means I’ll be just short of Treloar but looking into the numbers Zorko as a fwd just may do. Bound to see an uptick with Neale out and gave away 5 frees in each of his sub 100 scores which doesn’t make them look nearly as bad. Has averaged 114 before so there’s also that upside. Top 2-3 forward and reasonably priced, not getting enough love.

Haha, I think that might have been wishful thinking on both our parts.

Zork was pretty much my second choice behind Ziebell, as everything you've said is completely spot on. Going completely under the radar, and will have more than enough mid opportunity to go back to those big scores we know he's capable of.

Lloyd is the other big one, who I would've gone with had Ziebell actually been injured. Top 6 lock and probably 100K underpriced on what he's capable of. Looming likely as my next upgrade

Out for medium term going off the Richmond injury report, sounds like another month or so. Either way I feel like with Bolton’s emergence as a clearance player he will still get CBA’s when Prestia comes back

Definitely worth a look, and is at an insanely good price, however, I'd be waiting a week on him given the Dogs are not the team you want to be versing when bringing in a new player.

They win too much ball, which means that oppo mids rarely do well. From memory, I think only 3 inside midfield players have tonned up against them in the first 6 rounds - and they've barely made it over the hundred mark when they have.

What happened to Crisp? 😉

I really need to fix my rooks after bringing in RO'B and Ziebull this week.

Have L. Jones, Brockman, Fullarton and Evans dead on my bench, add Treacy to that as he's next to useless. Looks like next weeks trades will be used to try and sort that mess out.

Falling down the pecking order, now that Ziebell has become a must have and Treloar was ahead first - but fell behind due to Crisp's favourable draw, haha.

Now that Dunks is out, it forces me to get Trel, as him and Macrae are both must haves, and same with Ziebell. Lloyd is also now only 20K more than Crisp, and Zorko will be getting a full mid role for a long time with Neale out, so it's getting tough with all these value Top 6-8 players available!

Markov is playing the Pies this week and GC defs should go absolutely mental?

Short is still a Top 10 def based on average, and can go big every now and then while still having a floor of around 70.

Would be going Fanta and Gulden if it were me. The rest will oscillate, but they'll still be good picks up until the byes :)

Hoping Short will start improving once Vlastuin is back in the side next week.

Our backline is all over the shop at the moment, completely disorganised.

Throwing this one to the brains trust:

Ziebell and Treloar
OR
Macrae and Sidebottom / Zorko?

Was all in in option one, but now I’m second-guessing myself. If you don’t have Ziebell this week, and he scores another 150+, then that’s a huge miss. That said, I don’t want to live in a world where I prioritise Ziebell over Macrae.

Definitely prefer Treloar over the other two, though.

Not too concerned with byes yet but looking at Rnd 12 atm I've got ~12scorers who I could trust to dish up a 60 or better atm.
Not panic stations yet but probably need to get that up to 18 by Rnd 12.
Looking at the names to keep an eye on over the next few weeks I think it'll probably fix itself:
Def: Lloyd, Daniel, Ridley, Williams, Heppell
Mid: Sloane
Fwd: Sidebottom, Marshall, Zorko, Hunter, Hunter, Fyfe, Martin, Kelly.

Of that lot Kelly the only one with a Round 12 bye so probably not of interest to me till after round 12.

Ziebell Versus Lloyd is going to plague me all week. Ziebell round 12 bye versus Lloyd round 14 bye.

Its probably a now or never on Ziebell (or at least not till after rnd 12). Otherwise you just wont get enough games out of him before he misses one.

Lloyd a good pick to get through byes but then not great missing the 14th.

Can't believe I might actually pick Ziebell. His DPP will be handy also. Even if he "tanks" from here at an average of 80-90 he'll find a spot somewhere in my team till the end of the year either F4-6 or D4-6.

With Pies getting pumped a lot now, I.e not winning a lot of ball I think his output gets diminished somewhat even though role is great. Has gone sub 100 against the 3 better teams they’ve faced. Will still have those 120’s but might be a bit too up and down.. could end up in the 6-8 bracket rather than top 6.

Given how far behind the 8 ball i am.. and what fits in with my Bye Structure, think i have to take Ziebell on. In the vain hope they see whats obvious and having the ball float around the back 50 a million times and then Ziebell bombs it out finally doesnt really inspire future generations.. trades:

Dunks>Steele
Hunter>Farrar

Judging by my forward line trades this year, if I trade Ziebell in he will injure himself on 38 halfway through the first quarter just as I’m starting to congratulate myself for nailing a trade

OR

If I don’t trade him in, he’ll go even bigger than this week and put together back to back 190s and rocket up to a million dollars in price

So.... do I leave him out and cry for weeks, or do I trade him in and ruin him for the rest of you?
TRADE HIM IN

My current trades are

OUT: Dunkley Neale

IN: Ziebell Parish

Have you ever seen more depressing and pathetic looking trades? Just looking at the names in and out might stop me from doing those

Macrae is definitely the best player in the game, and is only just getting started - given what he's capable of. Once Dunks went off last week, he racked up an extra 45 points or something ridiculous in that last 15 minutes. If you have a chance to get him in, you take it!

For mine, Zork and Macrae for sure

Nothing will eclipse last season for out and out weirdness, but this year isn’t far behind. When Ziebell and Parish are knocking out monster scores while Tom Mitchell meanders along barely scoring hundreds, something ain’t right

Any combination that involves Macrae is the winner
