The closer and closer we get the more comfortable i am holding Dunks 1 week so i can up and down this week with players who have hit the peak like Goulden

Personally think you'd be better off losing out on the 40k max or whatever you're likely to lose and maximise your points.

Also, anyone considering Aaron Hall over Ziebell? Do I dare bring both in?

I thought about that but once i start falling behind on it it becomes 40k this week on Goulden and another and 40k the week after because i had to wait on that as well since.

I had this same problem a few years ago and by the time i caught up on players that lost cash because of missing trading them out at peak value i ended up losing 300k+ over about 5 rounds.

I have all ways been a firm believer of cash generation being king at least until the byes.

It may cost me it may not but i have seen it cost me the other way around before.

I have 2 past peek right now and 2 that will be next week so i am already starting to see a trend of maybe losing cash on rookies and mid prices that i picked to make cash not lose it.

I'd prefer to shuffle my rooks as well as I had initially planned to this round. Except rather than doing a down and up like you, I may be forced to go one rook (like Gulden) down and move a non-playing rook like Hunter sideways. Won't allow me to go up this week but banks me some nice cash for next week to dump Dunks and a rook and basically get two premos.

I'm not overly confident about that option due to being unable to get a premo this week but might be forced into it if there's some surprise omissions at the selection table.

If not I'm super keen to bring in Crisp/Steele, very juicy draws coming up.

Thoughts on Brayshaw?

Brought him in for what looked like a juicy run of games in Carlton, Hawks, Adelaide and North. Copped attention against Carlton and the Hawks and dished up fifties. Copped minor attention from North, seemed to work through it okay but they shifted their focus to Mundy after the first quarter.

Whilst he's shown signs of learning to cope with the tag, I'm not confident in holding him from this point on and keen to offload him. Do we think he cops attention from West Coast this week? Should I prioritise getting him out?

Is Ash worth the cash over Cumming or even Hall ?

Whitfield inclusion has me concerned

I wanted Ash two or three weeks ago, but couldn't due to other carnage. I expect he'll still rise a fair bit - perhaps close to 700K - but I was hoping he'd be a keeper. Not sure now....

I’m beginning to wonder if I should just grab an 800k+ mid this week for Dunkley. Those big dog mids are super hard to get in through the year, where as the forwards and defenders you can pick up cheap

1. Mills + Bolton and 5k

2. Oliver + Dev Robertson and 200k

3. Mills + Dev Robertson and 290k?

If Marshall had a non Rd 14 bye, I may have gone Dunks - Marshall and Dusty to Ash - banked the coin for upgrades next week to get things slightly back on track....

I really don't have much choice this week, wanted to get another playing rookie in but with Dunkley and Martin out I would be forced into playing an all rookie Fwd line.
So it's Dunkley > Ziebell
Gulden > O'Brien

I think i’ve had almost one premo go down every round. If you have another go down this week, you’re going to have 2 premos to trade out which wil have you falling behind

I like your thinking but I’m going Dunks side Gulden up this week which I think is the best of both worlds in terms of short term points + also long term team completion

That is my logic in wanting to stick with Ziebell and Ash as ins this week.

If Ziebell scores 100, he's going up to around $840k (+40k)
If Ash scores 82, he's going up to around $640k (+37k)

If they start to stuck, either can be easily downgraded (Ziebell down to Mitchell, Ash down to Hall/Cumming) whilst generating further coin. The only risk there is having to hold onto them whilst they fail if I get other injuries or problems.

Anyone getting Freddy of the Port variety?

Yep he’s in for me. Not expecting miracles in terms of job security but will make cash and score pretty well while he’s in the side it would seem

As a holder in draft and classic definitely keep in. Take away the tags and is easily hitting 100+. Not to many tagging teams left for him (eagles don't tag either) and I think teams have worked out that if you tag him other players just rack up disposals. Probably only risk is when Freo play on the east coast (inevitably are always awful) but think should still be fine to collect good scores.

Are you fielding him?

he looks a very good player. I’m considering skipping Farrar to grab him but I’d have to field him this week while Dustys out which could lead to me holding him even longer.

I'm going Jy Farrar over Dev Robertson, biased maybe? Probably, Robertson should step up in Neale's role but his kicking still isn't that great so will he be able to get 2 goals a game to boost his score?

Farrar is now in the best 22, Bowes, Markov & himself are legit linking up back there. If suns were any better Junk time is a big on.

Farrar will get DPP round 12 which is bye because thats his bye too.

I sold Farrar last week and hopefully he delivers again

Image - Last time Suns played Collingwood on the G i remember Jack Lukosius racking it up and so did others, The top 4 are all defenders, Jacob Dawson who was flipping shit even got 14 marks

Yeah I'm definitely sold on Farrar. I guess my dilemma is whether to do a double downgrade/rookie fix up and get both Farrar and Robertson; or whether to do a one up/one down and miss Robertson.

Berry confirmed out again this week. On top of that they won’t have Neale for ages. I think Robertson is must get rookie right now. Will get given every chance

Yeah... I'm going to stew on Bolton vs Robertson decision right up until friday night.

I guess the other dimension of it is that if I take Bolton, I'm trading Gulden. If I'm taking Robertson, I'm trading Meek or if I want the cash then Campbell. I'm kind of worried that if I hold Gulden he'll lose the cash that I make from Robertson, while he wont make up the points that I get from the Bolton move. But might be better for long term cash generation.
