anyway, struggling on the 2nd trade. Anything jumping out here ? Some coverage down back would be nice so Fred obvious. Howeever also thinking Brockman > Farr or even downgrading Hardwick to Farr...

Ideally someone for Burgess or Rowe I think.

Better to grab a top 3 defender in Mills, or a top 3 forward in Sidebottom?
I'm pretty big on Sidebottom, provided he retains his midfield role from the weekend. Hopefully De Goey doesn't steal his CBAs.

Also keeping a close eye on Hunter and Zorko, both of whom should benefit from Dunkley's and Neale's injuries, respectively. I've been avoiding premium forwards like plague, but I think having a balance of premiums across the lines will be important come the byes.

Out of interest whats everones plan for Flynn?

In a perfect world I'll be keeping him till the R14 bye of Gawndy. He'll be a handy inclusion at that time.

But in reality, its going to get hard to resist moving him on in another 1-2 price rises.

At his current average he'll max out around $550-$570k but might take another 6-8 weeks to get there particularly with rests. Then there's the added risk that the all valued Round 14 bye that Mummys playing anyway (its a bye for them rnd 12, so he could play rnd 13/14?).

In 1 week he'll be ~ $440k, in 2 weeks ~ $470k.
So really only missing out on $100-$150k cash gen ~ 5-6weeks later.

He may be a handy trade in a week or two, just for the quick cash?

Braydon Preuss is listed as 6 weeks away ....lets assume he plays two State League games .....thats 8 weeks

In that period Mummy will play 4 games .....so we only get 4 more games from Flynn

I'll hold till after the R13 bye and trade him in for a R13 player .........hoping Danger

It’s just hard when you look at the Mills 108 average and then the Sidebottom 94. Makes you want the 14 points better guy
His CBAs jumped from 33% in round five to 88% last weekend, so his average should pick up if Bucks plays him on ball. That said, Mills is a great pick and probably represents less risk.

Also, is there a reason why no one is talking about Salem? Looks to be having a genuine breakout season.

Priced at $703k, averaging 99.5, BE of 65. Has three tonnes to his name, and racked up a score of 141 against Richmond on the weekend.

The best part is his upcoming fixture: North, Sydney, Carlton and Adelaide.

Salem is an excellent choice as well. As a Richmond fan it was awful watching him cut us to pieces on the weekend. My concern is, is there a forward tag coming? Salem is so damaging off there. He’s not a Lloyd, Ziebell, Docherty type where he gets 25-39 short passes that don’t hurt you

You and I have discussed this, I think Macrae and Gawn are definitely the straight forward options. It's like.. if someone offered you a premium burger over Maccas you'd take the premium burger, but if you wanted dinner and desert and you only had a tight budget, the Quarter Pounder and a Strawberry shake is amazing value.

I like the idea of a Sidebottom/Treloar/Marshall this week.

I really want Macrae but 50%+ of the people above me probably have him already. It's sort of sick because I love Macrae but it's almost more beneficial for me to hope he gets a concussion or something and people cop a bullet while I pick up Treloar / Gaff / Lloyd / Sidebottom types for the back half of the season.

That being said my current trade plans have me getting Gawn (but i'll likely only stay that way if Flynn is not named Friday night).
Yeah fair points. Gotta go for perceived value to hopefully get ahead

Would you go Mills or Lloyd if given the opportunity? History suggests Lloyd, but Mills is looking like having a monster breakout. That role of midfield and half back is great for Fantasy. 8% ownership is nice too. BE 82

Good question. Would lean towards Mills due to the midfield role and because Dawson has been stealing a lot of Lloyd’s kick ins this year. Lloyd is probably losing 3-4 kick ins a game and that’s 9-12 points he’s losing out on right there. Can’t really go wrong either way though

My concern with Sidey is - at some point if Buckley realises that he has to play kids in their proper spots - will Sidey/Pendles see less midfield time ??

Yeah was interesting in his podcast Selby said that Daicos could be a shout. He's bloody cheap and he began to get CBAs on the weekend. They advertised he would get more time inside during preseason but it didnt happen in the season. I don't really see why you would take that punt right away, especially since Bolton seems the better option for not a substantial amount more - but could definitely be worth keeping an eye on.

I did notice - I would have one of Sidey/Pendles, plus Daicos and one other junior type attending as much as possible - due to fitness, rotations etc - for development purposes. When Adams is back it will help too.

I’ll defs be grabbing RCD next week if he has a decent game first up. Prestia/Dusty/Lambo all 3-4 weeks gives him a decent run of games with a chance he can nail down a spot longer than that.

If you watch his highlights from the 2019 VFL granny where he was BOG you’ll be wanting him too.

Oh shit i have taken the past 2-3 days completely off footy, what is the go with Dusty? I thought he was just missing this week with concussion and was going to hold him because i have Neale/Dunks.
