Trades 2021 Round 8 Fantasy Trades

After my initial rage at Fanta.

I'm now thinking it might be better to trade Phillips instead.

Keeps +$90k in the kitty (total $180k) for next week which will allow me to get the best available.

Next week could be something like Sholl/Markov -> J.Kelly/Daniel.

I'm almost more confident Fanta can get within 10pts of his BE (80) than Phillips can to his (92).

Yeah fair call. Probably only drops to $600k anyway so not a lot lost going early.

In a perfect world I still like to see them demonstrate their ceiling once again coming back from injury/concussion. I didn't see his hit so not sure if thats of any concern with his 66?

Yeah I don't think its gonna be much of an issue, like yesterday's game the blues played a more rebound game which puts him out of position a bit, and with their talls, he had to play a little more accountable to a man. So I think first week back and against a taller forward line was gonna be an issue, and we didn't have many other tall options down back. So I think he will be okay going forward. Stewart wont play this week, they will bring back BZT if they need.

Fantasia > Frederick (didn't realise still such a low BE)
Serong > ?? - have $891k

Do I just take Macrae or one of the dees boys? Means my M1 to M6 is pretty solid for the next while. Campbell/Flynn not ideal but still making cash (well Flynn he plays anyway). Attempt another 1 up 1 down next week depending on injuries. Probably Rowe/Phillips. Treacy keeps kicking bags in the WAFL so should get an opportunity again as should Brockman, Downie and Gould at some stage. Martyns face will haunt me for the season though.

Instead i am picking Hall and Ziebell? Sigh.

At least Hall was actually taking the game on and was good by foot so less of an issue picking him.

But I guess it is based on form?

It is an odd one - how can you rack up 100 points while simultaneously letting your opponent kick 6 and win the game for the opposition ???

While I was LOL'ing at Ziebell, I was also impressed by the level of "Me Me Me" from him at the same time....

I just don't like bringing in players, that if they're gonna get injured, it'll be in the first quarter, and these two have that written all over them.

Same - I switched from Kelly to Hall, in part for the potential price rises but also because cash is so limited with stupid coaches and poor options.....

Normally I would agree, but the junk in the North backline is just so satisfying to watch as an owner.

I don't usually watch North games on account of them being terrible, but I enjoyed Ziebell vs Us way more than us vs North. It's comical the way they play back there. Almost like they start the game 200 points up and are just running down the clock.

I never got the Docherty hype. Always thought he was a GOP. Fantasy gun though.
