Trades 2021 Round 8 Fantasy Trades

Now that I’ve had time to think, I’m thinking Daniel might be the better option than Hall. Daniel is more likely a keeper than Hall you’d suspect ?

Option 1
Phillips -> Gawn
Gulden -> RCD
$7k in the bank

Option 2
Phillips -> Hall
Gulden -> RCD
$279k in the bank BUT I have to cop a donut for Flynn at R2

Do you really need to ask that question? Wish I had the opportunity of getting Gawn in.

Only thing making me question Gawn is that he has a pretty high BE and is coming up against Hickey who hasn't been giving up heaps to rucks. Thinking Marshall this week and then I'll grab Max when he drops a bit more and swing Marshall fwd.

What is a better strategy at this stage of the season:

Two mid 500s types for a rookie and an uber premium
Phillips and Warner --> RCD and Macrae

Two failed rookies/mid pricers for a cheaper and a rookie
Clark and Campbell --> Frederick and Daicos

As suggested earlier, maybe look at other combinations..

Warner has at least another week of growth (IMHO), and Campbell may be back this week.

As for who you get in, RCD + J Macrae is a much better long term move than Frederick and Daicos.

I was looking at Marshall too, he put up a score of 80 odd with Ryder back, might still have foot issues and has a BE 108 which might see him drop a bit in price too. Not really what I'm wanting at this stage from a 700k purchase. Gawn could quite well drop 50-60k with that 72 in his rolling average, he could also pump out consecutive 130's and not drop much.

2) the thought of two North potatoes getting 350 between them is too enticing. Imagine putting the C on one of them for 400.

Possible freo news:
Treacy played well for Peel, may be a chance to come back in this week.
Think Western might be close to a debut as well.

Treacy on field will be tempting if Bryan and Flynn are both dead this week.
Someone remind me next year to just do Gawndy and not give myself a brain injury hoping 2 guys I’ve never heard of play.

Yes Campbell into Guldens spot and trading Gulden would give him the extra cash if my suggestion is short which now that I’ve re-done it I think is $4k short

He will probably get injured this week. He’s not durable enough to be a keeper I wouldn’t imagine but hopefully he makes enough cash prior to that to get an actual keeper.

Would you then be better off going a fallen Caleb Daniel who should be a defensive keeper? They’re exactly the same price

Maybe but my forward line is complete shit. And Halls role looks juicy for quick cash. I’m not sold on Daniel based on a game against us. We don’t tend to defend much against an individual half back. If he does it again I’ll look at him.

Thanks for the suggestion tigs2010. I've been neglecting trading out Tyson just because this week for example I have Tex who is taking up almost $10k per point over the last 3 weeks.

I'm not quite sure on who to prioritise because on one hand you have Tyson on the bench who takes up 400k but won't score anything. On the other hand you have Walker costing over 600k, and averaging in the last month less than Corbett or Cameron who are almost 200k cheaper.

I have this bad habit of giving underperforming players chance after chance because I'm so scared of them punishing me after I trade them out. All signs point to Tex being cooked but I just have a sense he might kick a few in the showdown...same with Jiath, maybe defenders can score well against the eagles....

Initial thoughts are:
Gulden to RCD
Rowe to Hall

but that only leaves me 46k for next week....

Tex to Hall

Leaves me with 335k next week and an opportunity to to get both Ridley and Helmet cheaply (for Jiath and Fantasia)

Definitely dump Tex too. I’m getting rid of him this week. I should have done it 2 weeks ago

should give you 1.3 mill less Collier Dawkins price who I think is a good pick.

Gulden is the other one to consider over Tyson because he may lose cash from here and has a tough match up. Can field either Campbell (if he plays) or RCD in his spot.

I would trade Gulden and Walker to stop bleeding cash. So maybe sideways swap them to Hall and Daniel (via DPP). Might not have enough cash to get both so Hall is the obvious choice of the two to get first.
