2nd rounder
I know collingwood's cap is still f'ed and they need key forwards but that still seems super one sided. A proven backman who is quality for a late 2nd and a shit kpf.

It can work, in theory. Taking into account their cap issues & need for points.

Pies have picks 36, 41, 44, 45 = 1623 points

They need 2400 (?) to match a pick 1 bid (3000 points less 20% discount?)

Our picks 31 & 54 = 826 points

In total that'd be 2449 points, allowing them to avoid a deficit next year

So they'd gain the missing points needed for Daicos & acquire Weid

Yeah, I reckon we might need another 2nd though as ours will be mid 30's.

If you were to value Weid at pick 30, the above package is the equivalent of pick 10.

It's not a sexy deal for the Pies but it may allows them to kill two birds with one stone. Wouldn't be surprised if they wanted our second rounder, our third rounder (also a pick in the 30's tied to Hawks), and Weid tho, as you said.

I wonder what the difference is between Weids contract and Maynard's is. That could possibly be the deciding factor for them.

Nah weed's a star, he just can't get a run in a top of the ladder side with almost-Coleman Benny Brown, Kosi, Tommy MacDonald and Spargo running wild.

+ everyone else has had a crack at raiding the Pies, we deserve a crack at it too, we still owe them for Dawes, Lumumbles, that lopsided Howe trade with that guy named Ben someone with shit tatts.

On second thoughts we'll keep the second round pick, straight swap sounds good to me :thumbsu:

Don't even care that much about Maynard, just need him so we can unleash SGTR in the midfield
if that happens i think they'll have to make our games 18+. just too hot.

The infamous midnight time slot at the MCG going to get a workout

Here’s your host for the evening

It helps us that Maynard has basically nominated us

Pretty big statement you're making here. Time will tell whether you're right or wrong.

You've left yourself open for a decent pile on if you're wrong here.

it's not going to be islanda22 who's wrong at all. he's just going off what the media has said

I haven't seen anywhere in the media that suggests it's a done deal??

There you go..

Problem is thought isn't his track record pretty poor?
