He's a star but I don't think we could compete with 4 years. Their salary cup must be very tight.
Probably going to lose Dawson now to one of the SA clubs and Hewett hasn't been offered a contract yet. But they didn't really have a choice. How would it look if you let your B&F and captain leave?

It's just some goose on Twitter mate, would completely ignore it. I've had dealings with him before.

On moto g(30) using BigFooty.com mobile app

I'm aware, but getting ahead of it being spread to the billion facebook trade pages and people reading it then coming here to complain.

So my ideal trade period, i actually see more positives then negatives trading Neale.
Ideal trade period-
Neale out for 6 & 8, we lose 14
Parker FA or Trade pick 8 for Mitchell & Gunston.
Delist- A. Smith, Birchall, Ballenden, B. Smith, Joyce (Re Draft)
First round draft hand 6,8,18 or 6 & 18.
Honestly I would prefer to get 6 & 27 from Fremantle and keep 14.

We *might* be able to turn 27 + 47 + 2022 first round pick in to 15 + Bulldogs 2022 second & third round picks.

We take 6, 14, 15 & 18 to the draft and possibly get all four players I like. Plus we bank points for next year’s draft.

Has it actually been confirmed that Ashcroft will nominate us under father son?

Just thinking that if / when Lachie leaves that pick (our 2022 first rounder) may be a lot better than what it was looking like being a week ago lol. And if Ashcroft has a change of heart, then we may need that pick next year, especially if it turns out to be a top 10 pick (Obviously again, I hope the pick is 18).

For those interested in a short term ruck option I think we could do worse than Vardy. Just delisted by WC so would not cost us anything.
Does he have a family?

I guess if Lachie does go, and we only bring in 3 or 4 draftees, we have a bit more than the minimum AFL salary to offer a short term back up.

My point being, an older player, possibly with a family, may not be so keen to move across country for one season, if it’s just a break even financial move.

When they've been delisted it's a simple case of asking the question, and getting an answer. We don't even need to speculate about trade deals.

What is minimum AFL salary? 250k pre tax?

Hi guys, sorry for invading (again). But Jarrod Cameron just posted this on his IG.

Could imply he'll be seeking a trade this off-season. Maybe to your club to play with his brother?

Eagles out/Lions in- Jarrod Cameron, pick 10, 2022 2nd rounder.

Eagles in/Lions out- Lachie Neale.

Seriously I don't think we need another non tall forward.

Poor Lachie getting palmed off to wherever we need a deal.

Don't suppose he's a 6'2" elite kick, hard running, big body, evasive, explosive acceleration, massive tank, run all day, defensive monster, hard tackling , creative goal assist, amazing one touch hands midfielder is he?

Might have a spot for him if so.

I think Cockatoo will turn out a huge positive. The guy was virtually crippled when he came to us and the game time he got this year will be invaluable. With a full pre-season he could be an X factor next year.
Daniher also a huge positive. The media hype around his less than spectacular finals performances really ignores where he has come from in terms of his body. Agree with mpal6 on him.
None of the departures would have made us a measurably better side this year. Walker would have been handy in the semi but would have struggled to get a game otherwise. Happy for him that he has settled at North and just been given a 1 year extension.
Pleaseeeeeeeeee........... not the X factor again
