The players are starting to file back in nice and early, getting a jump start on the pre-season. Pretty crazy how quickly they get back into it these days!
From a S&C point of view I'm a big fan of all the movements they've got the youngsters doing in the gym there besides maybe the dumbbell floor press. Seems lower body strength and conditioning is going to be a big focus this off season:
Jeka - Kettlebell Swings, if there was only one movement I could recommend everyone do it'd be this. Great for building power through the entire posterior chain.
Reeves and Ward - Hex-bar Deadlifts, a great movement for power which allows for greater knee flexion and a more natural squat starting point. Good carry over for a jumping athlete, handy for a ruck.
Newc - Bulgarian Split Squats, aka torture. Probably my favourite leg movement, all the benefits of building power while also being a great active stretch for the hips and quadriceps on the opposite leg.
Morrison - backwards sled drags (I assume), which is a newly popular movement because it's absolute money for anyone wanting to strengthen the knee particularly for those with prior injury like Harry. Getting strong moving in reverse is really important.
Only criticism, I wish they'd stop weight training in runners... but that's a rant for another day.

Ah, Tige…. Good times…You're just jealous my wife has big **** and I own a gym
I like it because it can be used effectively both for power and in high intensity circuit training, which is pretty rare. Things like squats and deadlifts are too high impact, and make you fatigue too quickly, where kettlebell swings target similar muscles to the deadlift but in a more explosive but lower impact way. It's also great way to train hip extension, and to help strengthen the posterior chain muscles which tend to become weak in modern sitting dominant lifestyles. What's so good about kettlebell swings and how much kettle should I swing?

Sneakers, trainers. Whatever you want to call them.Runners?
no no no you need to ring the kettle before swinging itWhat's so good about kettlebell swings and how much kettle should I swing?
Why no goodSneakers, trainers. Whatever you want to call them.
From a weight training point of view, particularly anything where you're planted into the ground like deadlifting or squatting, you want to be as stable as possible to apply force through your entire foot. Sneakers have springy upturned toeboxes, cushioned heels and soles - the springy toebox and the cushioning work against applying force evenly through your entire foot and reduce stability. Can contribute to things like excessive valgus while squatting or deadlifting, placing forces and stress on parts of your body you don't necessarily want stress. Why no good
