Haha funny you say that. I would say he was finally starting to deliver on his 'potential' then he retired. 32 goals in 13 games which was his best seasonal average then pulled the pin.He retired with potential alongside his name
Anyway excuse the intrusion. I actually really enjoyed watching Hawthorn last year with one of my Hawthorn supporting mates. You will probably still be down near the bottom for now but I love Croc, Dylan Moore, Ward and co. Hopefully Lewis is fit as well as I think he will be as good as any of the other young key forwards going around (Kings, Naughton, Larkey etc.)

I for one would be very surprised if Newk regressed in a similar fashion to Worps.
Heck even if Jai just maintained his current output he would be a consistent top 3 player at our club which would still be a awesome result for a MSD pick (I think he will reach even greater heights myself).
That is what makes Worps predicament so confusing to me. Leaving aside the whole "cant play alongside Mitchell" business it's like he lost all confidence in his ability at times the last three years.
Hopefully he has got his "chutzpah" back this year and we see the old PCM winning Worps again (we definitely need him).

Thanks for posting JB! That’s a brilliant insight into his mindset. You could see there was a change when he got the last spot in 2020 but really interesting to hear from his perspective. Huge fan.

But seriously - i believe their window is closing rapidly. They had multiple chances in the last 5+ years and only have last year to show for it. Ours is yet to open but looking forward to it.
