I really enjoy the sport myself but was still surprised the other day when I saw a table of the major sports around the world and the % of playing time in the total amount of time it takes to complete a game (minus half time breaks etc)

NFL was 13%! That’s so funny…and horrible. Those who don’t like it have lots of good reasons not too but that might be the best one.

Yeah, it was fun for everyone except Chargers fans, which is everyone. Lawrence surely provided the biggest ever Jekyll and Hyde performance (he threw it to the opposition FOUR times in the first half!)

Almost ended the season again in the last too if not for those defensive linesmen thinking block it block it as opposed to catch it instesd

People reckon Cricket is stop start, nothing compared to NFL

I reckon I could handle full games if they just stayed with the commentators during the gaps in play, but the constant cuts to ads are unbearable.

Yeah the ads stuff is beyond bad isn't it, very hard to watch a game live because of it. I just record the games I'm keen on or have my team involved and watch after work with constant fast forwarding. The mini's are great for games I've got only a passing interest in.

Must be counting down the runs until Dave's off air and they can breath again - the dude has been a bee's dick away from saying something monumentally stupid about 10 times

To clarify, stupid for on-air public presenting. Talking about his jock strap and budgies with Isa, his opinion on himself and just generally the way he talks would be very scary for PR people

Didn’t they used to have a T20 Champions League where all the winners and runners up from the various domestic comps around the world competed? I’m sure if I’m having some Mandela Effect moment or this actually occurred but either way I reckon the Scorchers have the talent to win such a competition.

It's an interesting discussion, given at full strength you'd have three very decent allrounders as a 5th option, do you just go with a first choice attack of Dorf, Richo, Tye and Agar or do you take Hatz in as well? Probably a horses for courses type problem. Given Hardie's success at 3, I'm definitely opening with Green and Marsh. Eskinazi and Banners have been ok but arent in the league of those two.

What are peoples thoughts on the Peter Bol situation?
Very disappointing news. Synthetic EPO is very rarely found in someone’s body as a “mistake”. I guess we will see what the B sample says but it doesn’t look good for him.
I didn’t realise he was 28 years old. That’s older than I thought.
