Agreed on everything here

In order of trade out it would be
1 Rowell (needs to go)
2 Cogs (could pump out a 150 all depends on Leon)
3 Butters (Ports style this week didn't help) (week before he got smashed which didn't help)
4 Cripps (unless it is 2+ weeks)
5 Preuss (unless you have no cover)

I’m still bullish on Butters. He’s their most creative mid by a margin.. Hinkley has rocks in his head to shaft him.

Cogs a touch iffy on like all GWS players. Hoping Greene replaces Bruhn which should do the trick.

Even if that happens, he's still strained a hammy and could get minutes managed or rotate forward for a game or two.

Considering Ward at M8 out, O’Driscoll moves up from D8 to replace him, and any $190k rook in. Then Cripps out for Steele. Leaves a host of issues like Cogs, Butters, Foley and Blakey but need Ward gone!

Gamble either way. What if it is only minor and he comes back in a week like normal, you waste 2 trades for nothing.

Oh i wouldn't trade Butters or even Cripps and Preuss i was just putting them in priority order

Rowell is the only must trade of them followed by Cogs (due to Leon)

The ok thing about trading Rowell and Cripps out is that I can swing Brodie or Dunks midfield along with the replacement mid. Then it won’t look too bad.

Waiting on the Cripps medical report to make my decision, but if it’s 2-3 weeks I reckon I’ll trade him. If you can get another premo in you take it. Means I have to delay the defender upgrade for another week.

I reckon Hinkley sees him as a scoreboard asset while Ports forward line is depleted.

My current trade options. I think they're in order of what I'm leaning toward.

Option 1 - Rowell to Windhager (Play HRS/Ward) / Skinner to Boyd/Wilson(unsure which is safer). HRS with 3 scores over 60 in a row so probably doesn't hurt my scoring too much and that trade alone nets me a $354k to get Wines in for Ward in a couple weeks hopefully.
Option 2 - MacDonald to Windhager / Skinner to Boyd. Boring but shores up bench, well I think? How safe are Windy and Boyd?
Option 3 - Rowell to Windhager (Play HRS/Ward) / Day to Docherty. Gives a top 6 defender and helps scoring now but really stings after getting Day in last week. Day can sit on my pine while NOD gets a game anyway so doesn't hurt too much to just hold.

Thoughts or ideas?

Foley not really a problem in my mind.
Not yet anyway.
Averaging 70. Perhaps 60-65 is more what he'll be putting out from here and that's OK as a cheap place holder while we fixup other things.

Trades used right now are all luxuries anyway so I don't really count them as a waste.

It's not until next week that we might have enough cash to actually do a genuine upgrade. The rest is just shuffling players.

So may aswell dump an injured one.

Yeh true. That is an option.
I was going to be swapping Crouch out this week.
It may still be worth doing actually and just field Rachelle for a week but I guess we'll see how many rainbows Carlton want to put out abou Cripps and whether or not we believe it.
