Yeh true. That is an option.
I was going to be swapping Crouch out this week.
It may still be worth doing actually and just field Rachelle for a week but I guess we'll see how many rainbows Carlton want to put out abou Cripps and whether or not we believe it.
My choice was between Crouch and Rowell out.

Crouch has had one shocker out of four, Rowell has had two, so I'll give Crouch another week.

Rowell can stay another week (relatively low BE 65). McCartin (D5) needs to get out of my team!!

Can afford the best defender under $875K. who to pick out of
  • Doc - D1-D2 scoring at the moment
  • Hall - Potential for D1-D2
  • Dawson - D4-6 (save 100K for next weeks upgrade)
Already have Short, Hewit and Whitfield.

Thoughts on the top6 defenders this year??

Def: Short, Whit, Houston, Hewett, Sicily, McCartin (NOD, SDK)
Mid: Bray, Steele, Macrae, Cripps, Caldwell, Rowell, Daicos, JHF (Ward, Mead)
Ruck: Gawn, Preuss (Dixon)
Fwd: Dunk, Cogs, Butters, Brodie, Xerri, Martin (Rachele, Baldwin)
Ut: Hough
Think my week was summed up by trading both Cripps and press in, then fielding mccartin over NOD, and Martin over Rachele. Was still somehow able to climb the ranks to top 3k with 2195
Does anyone know how bad the Cripps situation is. Is he an instant trade? Is Rachele also gonna get a week or two?
Trades will either be mccartin down Cripps up, or Rachele down Cripps up to any mid or def. Gonna have to cop Dixons score this week as im not wasting a trade on preuss out as I j brought in.
If Cripps is a trade, and Rachele is too, would it be better to go to a Baz smith and keep 177k, or go to a petracca/touk/keys?
cheers guys

Seeing Preuss owners on social media doubling down on it being a good move trading Gawn-> Preuss is starting to get a bit cringe.

Just have a good vent and say you'll delete your team like the rest of us.
I’m just sick of hearing about rucks in general tbh. 2 positions getting more air time than the other 28 put together.

That aside, it’s way too early to call Gawn > Preuss a win or loss yet. Last week it was the Preuss owners going the early crow, this week it’s those who didn’t do the move going the early crow.

Can't believe English just keeps getting it done. Very tasty draw coming up too.

Think I would have parked him forward even if Pruess hadn't been suspended.

Can’t see any reason why he doesn’t maintain a 105-110 average tbh. Stef won’t effect him a lot imo as he’s just getting so much footy all over the griund

Where do we sit on Bailey Smith? I don't watch much Bulldogs games, is his role sustainable? Big TOG last two weeks too.

He's durable, will not get any attention because he butchers the ball but like any young player might be a bit up and down consistency wise. Not sure if his role supports long term sustained scoring with the likes of Bont, Dunkley and Macrae usually the top dogs in the mid - but saying that, this could be his break out year. High risk high reward with how he is scoring.

Second the comment on high risk vs high reward.

Personally think his floor on scoring will still be very high this year. Even if the other dogs are winning the inside ball he should be on the end of it. Because he is a running machine he seems to almost have a “free” role to speed around the field getting on the end of kicks to be the link player in their ball movement.

Think it’s easy to forget he is a fourth year player - no reason to think he isn’t going to get better this year compared to previous years.

Also mentioned earlier in the thread but he has a dream run coming up in North, Crows, Essendon and Port.

A quick caveat is that his big scores have come at the MCG which has much more room to run and got on the end of marks.

Foley and Ward my two priorities this week. Trying to stick with cash Gen strategy and with NOD and Erasmus last week they cover D6 M8.
Then just go for whatever I can cash wise. If we get a basement DEF rookie I could get Foley to a premo midfielder even.

Hoping on good news for Cripps then can save the 2 trades because I will want him back.

Dixon covers Preuss on ruck bench.

Dawson and Doch will both be top 6 so go for the best for bye structure IMO.

Easily to the premo if you are trading Cripps IMO. Those 3 are all great picks. I have Touk but Keays in best form. Still think Miller outguns them the way home.

Seems like it's between Parish and Smith for me from Cripps. Parish looks to be getting back into form and has a dream run coming up.

The problem i have with Smith is Bevo we all know he is a dick and with the Dogs looking in a hole how long before he starts throwing players around everywhere which will hurt them as he has done before.

Er, have you not been watching us the past 5 years or so.... ?

Yes but you have 2 Bevos

Normal Bevo who screws us a bit and crazy Bevo who puts players everywhere hoping to find a spark

yeah - but we are well past that this season...

Caleb will be ruck, Stef Martin a lockdown small defender, Dunkley/Hunter to FF/CHF due to their kicking skills...
