First look at trades:



Gets rid of a dud rookie and a borderline mid pricer to bring in English who looks like being both a top 10 forward and a very useable ruck (should Gawn or Grundy get injured) and NOD who is a guaranteed price rise next week.

If Ryder gets a week (looking at the footage, I'm not sure he will) and Hayes gets a recall, then I will have two red dots on the bench, which I can live with.

Trying to stick with my "New Season Resolutions"...

1. Stand by your premos (Miller, Whitfield, Treloar and Cogs get another week),

2. Don't trade in midpricers chasing points (Rooks that will make money or keepers are the only trade ins).

Traded Hayes and Rachele this week, a shit ton of cash gen gone to get Day to field over McCartin and they score the same anyway... and then got McInnes over O'Driscoll. Hopefully these trades are more of a hit.

Trying to stick with my "New Season Resolutions"...

1. Stand by your premos (Miller, Whitfield, Treloar and Cogs get another week),

I'm trying very hard to stick to 1.... Just test drove switching Jelly to Smith - but put it back ahead of potential DPP switches next week.

The 250K I have next week might be more useful.

Locking in McCartin to NOD. Then at this stage thinking either Jelly to Laird or a Cogs to English.

Getting in NOD gets me the rookie knocking down the door the most and do not really have another glaring issues to fix up without Cripps in my team.

Last year I tried to chance value "premos" bottoming but they all ended up bring trash.

Think I'll just cherry pick guns as much as possible this year.

Steele probably make number 1 target.
Titch may be a close 2nd as he's fantasy royalty.

After some time to think about it, think I'm just gonna play a straight bat (it also helps my bye structure more) and get rid of Rowell and Cripps and bring in Macrae and Sam Hayes. Ward gets one more week on my bench, but he's on thin ice.

Given the state of things, if both Hayes plays (say that 10 times haha), then I'll be able to loop one or the other with Preuss, and get the double shot at it.

For now (until teams are named):

OUT: Rowell and Cripps
IN: Macrae and S. Hayes

285K remaining

Will then trade out Ward and J. Hayes the following week, and get another premo around 850-900K (could be Grundy or English depending on how this week goes with rucks)

Gives me this team which is weaker, but still not awful given the circumstances:

Rowell - Steele

Play one of Hayes or Dixon onfield during Preuss' suspension.

Means holding Cripps for a week. Will trade him instead if the hammy is likely to mean an extended layoff.

In a bit of a dilemma, I’ve got two options here. Either trade for a new mid (to replace Cripps) and have my defense suffer for another week, or trade for a defender and thin out my midfield.

I’ve leaned towards getting a new mid and getting in the defender next week and get another week of cash gen.

I’ve got rid of Rowell as well becuase he’s run out of chances.

Went looking for the obvious Rowell injury after seeing him being traded out a in a few posts..
Just people moving him on it seems.
Only really had the 1 quiet quarter and is still making money.

(I can't talk I guess, I tentatively traded him to Brayshaw 2 weeks ago but reversed it to fix other issues that no doubt made my team worse)

Have enough to bring in any of English, Max or Grundy. Ive been keen on English for a while but Maxy looks to have rediscovered his mojo, and is only 40k more than Timmy. Will be an interesting few days as I try to settle on someone...
