Jacob Edwards should be trained as a key defender as of now and CCJ more forward/ruck

I don't get Howe other than a depth defender but I guess Howe and Shiels will be instructing the VFL team as on-field coaches.
Turner rookied I'd say to be an example of how to prepare and train etc to young guys but feels like a wasted punt on a key position kid.
But no other club picked up those guys so maybe they aren't AFL standard.
I suspect next year we must have our eyes on key position stocks and maybe BPJ is a forward option.

Do any rookie drafted players' family and friends go round and celebrate in contrived and cliched ways even when the cameras aren't on?

If they do, spare a thought for any friends and managers of unrealistic hopefuls who went around knowing their player was never a chance. Those players remind me of David Brent in On the Road - where he paid for the gigs like a vanity author pays to have their book published. So fn tragic.

I think we were actually quite unlikely to take another 18 year old. We can assume that we had Drury pretty high on our order which forced our hand. That combined with the fact he is the perfect cultural fit, probably made it too good to refuse.
