I'll never understand why clubs tell players ahead of time. They only get one draft night, let them experience the moment.
Also what happens if we get an offer for 3 or 4 that is too good to refuse? I’m not sure their clubs would be telling players this far out.

I would still argue though that the "can't go wrong with those two" quote isn't a good one though since Wardlaw does carry risk due to his injury history. He isn't a sure thing.
Every player ever drafted can go wrong. But if clubs aren’t worried long term about his hammies he is going early. He has played at a level few at his age has.

True, but you don't want another Moribito on your hands, or a Gumbleton.

From memory neither had injury problems pre-draft. Unlike Judd and Selwood. It's a bit of a crap shoot.

Are the link to Geelong only because he gave one of them a medal on grand final day? He would slot in nicely. Steward is almost 30, so him and sdk could hold down that black line for the next ten years
The link is meant to be because he's a position of need, given Stewart's age. Him and Selwood have a friendship from when he was younger but it's not because of the Grand Final. He gave a premiership medal to Adam Goodes. Some poster said on here that Busslinger was going to Geelong, regardless of the Clark situation.
