Think it’s more wishful thinking by others

Sheezel is a lock to us

Just whether we take Tsatas or wardlaw at our next pick
I don’t think anyone myself included thinks he will get past north as I said hope against hope. First 4 picks locked in then gut feel is dons take Philippou and suns take ginbey means we take tsatas. Eagles surely take busslinger which makes saints pick between Humphrey and mackenzie a tough call.

WOW... a possibility?? like me winning the Lotto possibility??
A grain of salt is the first image that comes into my head when i hear that type of tripe.
The teams who want to nab him later in the draft gain the most from letting these types of rumours get out.
Been happening in the states for ages, surprised its taken this long to hit our shores.

Its a draft rumours thread. So dont be a DH when someone posts an actual rumour.

And maybe go look up the definition of rumour too. That may help.

Sorry mate i just call Balderdash on this type of unsubstantiated tripe...
Punters Pundits & Mugs on keyboards claiming inside knowledge of recruits/prospects/players and teams thinkings on the upcoming draft whilst in reality sitting on the outer.
I guess thats why its called Draft Rumours... Mitch Cleary Tom Browne Sam Manure love this stuff lol.

I’m neither hostile nor aggressive I just call out made up BS when I see it.
From a WA scout, who also sits in on interviews to provide psych observations on how kids react to questions.

Doesn’t seem like the kind of draft pool a premium prospect like Hewett will readily slide, but who knows?

Any club that gets him outside the Top 15 is getting a bargain.

Hewett may slide, but not into the 30's. Rumours are he was a bit of a DH in yr 11. Wow. Not much to get concerned about there. He moved schools for yr 12 which is interesting as parents only do that because of a problem or they relocate. Reports are he has grown up a bit and maybe someone had a word with him and he's matured.

He has been recently interviewed and speaks very well. Stated he doesnt follow any team however his family are all mad Eagles fans, all of them.

He says he is fine moving interstate however that is playing a straight bat to that question. One recruiter who interviewed him wasnt convinced with his response. Hewett is a flight risk imo. Very close to his family. About time a WA kid followed the lead of the Vic Metro kids.

If there are other rumours.......I havent come accross them.

Hoping for Hewett at 12 or a bargain at 20-2×.

So who wrote this buddy?? any links to the actual document from the actual person in question??
Or is just a posted rumour??
Deliberately cut parts out so he’s not fully identifiable, but there’s a few on BF who know him. The bloke who wrote it states his role in there.

You can take it or leave it.

Maybe this thread isn’t for you if you’re going to poopoo every post you don’t like.

It was a simple question.
NO need to get all nancy when someone likes to call it out as BS.
That is why we have a thread/s.
People post stuff and are susceptible to being questioned.
Even me.
The thread is a light-hearted one where people post crap without a source that may or may not be true.

Again, if you don't like unfounded rumours that are probably not true, you're in the wrong thread.

If you're going to get snarky and attack anyone who contributes to a lighthearted thread, I'm just going to thread ban you. I'm not the kind of person who asks three times.

Go read WC Phil and his posts on the Eagles board.

He works for a Vic club in recruiting and interviewing draftees but is an Eagles fan.

He isnt writing a PHD so doesnt publish papers on the topic. Just shares observations and his opinion on this draft cohort.

Part of the Hawks mediation is to take Manuka at pick 39.

Watch for a fist pump from the hawks recruiting team.
The Hawks are taking the entire field in the draft?

These kids are 17 & 18 and the 'local stars' of their school/area.
Of course they may come across as dickheads. I do wonder if clubs put way too much weighting on interviews. Stevie J in his later years was a leader and role model for the younger players but was a bit loose early in his career.

Draft for long term, not for an 18 year old kid to address the UN in his first year.

This type of mentality is pathetic. We give way too much slack to young adults by virtue of their age. As a society we should start demanding more from them.
It’s not pathetic it’s a realistic take and not mutually exclusive - we can hold young men to high standards and acknowledge their immaturity as well and support them when they screw up. Sits uncomfortably with me reading a bunch of middle aged men who probably were similar dicks (albeit with no football talent despite how much their talent has improved in their mind over the years) calling 17 year olds dicks and assholes. Feels like there’s more than this draft crop on a maturity journey.

For some Honey?
Why not pick 40 that would make it even sweeter…
