Just so you are aware mate, the amount we are bidding is like a signing bonus, the contract of each player is based off the previous seasons points. So in this case Henderson's contract price is 3.3m
Maybe you already knew that but just wanted to clear it up if you didnt.

Good way to put it....bidding dollars merely like a signing bonus, added on top of the players existing salary. So for instance, if i win Henderson on 50k....his salary of 3.3m would sit on my cap, plus, the 50k from the bid would be a dead money charge that exists just for the season.
If i traded Henderson a week later, that 50k would still remain a hit on my cap for the year.
So why you gotta keep mindful of your cap space when bidding or getting into bidding wars. If you have only 20m cap space for Auction, and others have 50m, theres a point where one has to give up on a bidding war.

finding contract prices is an absolute pain in the ass on the site for free agents not bid on yet (if they have already been bid on you can hover over their name and it will show you their price or you can click on them and the info is on the left in their player card), I generally find the best way off seeing prices of free agents is to use the "player stats" tab and sort by "free agents" to research. Saves you clicking on each player individually as it gives you a list as long as you desire and all their prices are on the right on the same page.

The player will appear inmediately, but i have to manually re-change all their salaries back to what they originally were and then hit your cap with the winning bid amount....which will appear in the "salary adjustments" link just below the last player on your active roster.
Because i might be offline, out and about, sometimes it might take a few hours before i can update players. Lot of manual work on me updating everything so bear with me, i will try to be as quick as possible with it
