ive got cash in the bank so i think im going to do Hayes and Caldwell out and spread the funds evenly.

Hayes and Caldwell
for
T.Kelly and McIreney

and then double downgrade next week.

Alternative is
Hayes and Caldwell out
for
Clark and any mid in the game.

Do many people opt for cash gen through mid pricers at this stage of the season?

I see plenty of rookies with 1/2 games averaging 50 with break evens of 10ish like Dixon, Strnadica, Windhager, McCoomb, Gibcus, Curtis, McEntee and they arent that appetizing really. Job security a real risk too so could be dropped and end up earning nothing for a while.

Or theres mid pricers with a price tag of around 500 to 650k who are averaging 80+ like Newcombe, Rozee, Frampton, J Cameron, Vlastuin, Ladhams, McInerney whose break evens of 40 or more below their average means they would generate the same 30 to 50k a week as the rookies without the job security issues.

I get that you want your team to have as much value invested in the starting 22 as possible but you also want to generate as much money as possible too.

Traded L Jones - 1 week later out with covid
Traded J Hayes - 2 weeks later ACL
Traded McCartin - 2 weeks later concussed

So by my timeline pray for Rachele next game. Also someone should let MacDonald know he’s on chopping block for me this week.
You have some serious Harry Potter business going on at the moment.

It's an interesting point. If I do my Rachele/Hayes trade to Oliver I have thought about future weeks and there's really no one earning good cash on my bench. Durdin stalled, Mead out, Dixon, McCartin, Sam Hayes has ages to go, etc.

Rozee is the one for me. More mid time and back to back 100's with a BE of 10. Rachele/Hayes to Clark and Rozee leaves me 333k to upgrade JHF to a Tracc next week. And the bonus of having Rozee earning money. Less on field points this week but long term it's probably a better move if Rozee can keep producing a few good scores.

McInerney and Ladhams too expensive now.

Foley - G. Clark
Horne-Francis - Cripps

Looping Clark/Rachele at M8 on the presumption that McInnes gets dropped.

Lots of juicy alternative options like Noah Anderson (really impressed with his recent run of scores), Vlastuin, Rozee, Coleman, Frampton etc. but thinking just play it straight this week.

Do I go for the traditional up/down
Out: J.Hayes, Xerri
In: G.Clark, L.Parker

Or do a bit of a mid-price swap
Out: Foley, Xerri
In: Coleman, Rozee/McInerney/Ladhams

Another option is either of the first trades, followed up by Crouch to Cripps
Depends on your fwd/def cover, but can you go:
JHayes + Foley -> Cripps
...and then what cash are you left with?

Rachele > Clark
Caldwell > Oliver - after what Mills did to the Hawks, Oliver gets a go at mauling them.

The problem is you can't take on many of those sorts of guys or you can get stuck with them.

Injuries and maxed out rookies will come at us thick and fast from now.

Last thing you'd need is to trade in a mid pricer and they score a 50.. being a bit more expensive that BE can go up very very quickly..

I took far too many last year and it screwed me. Having a bunch of guys averaging 70-85 is garbage when the top end is scoring 110+

All these people desperate to bring Mills in; it's extremely unlikely he pumps out another huge score next round so I'm not sure what the rush is to grab him.

Wines seems like a great pick up for 30k less. Petracca and Oliver have the Hawks this week. All are viable options.
The rush to grab Mills is because his BE is so low - if footywire is correct, it's now 79.

He's unlikely to pump out another 160 but it could be very difficult to get him in a few weeks time.

He's a top 8 mid that's bottomed out. I didn't go near B Smith after his big scores as I didn't see him as a top 8 mid but Mills is.

Yeah I'm torn on whether to bring in Rozee this week. If it all goes well, it's money. But a role change in the next 2 or 3 weeks could go south quick.

So currently weighing up:
Option A: JHayes +CMacD - Rozee + Clark
Option B: JHayes + Xerri - Cripps + Clark

I'd prefer getting Cripps of course, but it kinda leaves me in nowhere land for Rd8 trades. Option A still gives me the chance of getting Patty for Rd8

Currently thinking through two options:

1) McCartin + Hayes for Rozee + a defender <220k. Bergman at the Roos might be close to a debut? Otherwise a bit stumped on who I can actually downgrade McCartin to...

2) Butters + Hayes for Mills/Wines + Clark. Kind of leaning towards this as it upgrades Butters to an uber premo.

3) Butters + Hayes for Anderson + Coleman . Intrigued by this - Anderson looks good and he's had a great run, plus Coleman could really propel to proper mid-price territory and would allow me to downgrade McCartin next week through utility.

If you can imagine a world where you need to trade out rozee in a couple of weeks barring injury.... then dont do it.... you dont want to be wasting trades in the future trying to sort out the rozee situation... personally i think its an unecessary risk.

Hayes to Clark and Foley out gets me to $745k but can really only target defenders (prefer NOD on the bench rather than D6).

you don't have to trade out hayes... his price isnt going anywhere... instead i'd trade JHF and then upgrade foley to whoever u want

you dont wanna be stuck all year with premiums you dont want just because u didnt have the money for the ones u did

Yep, this. What about Foley + JHF - Cripps + Clark?

I think you can run NOD at D6 for a bit

My trade strategy is that there are two fallen Uber premiums of Wines and touk… and Petracca in a few weeks…. Whereas fwd premiums are just trash, and Lloyd will be cheap soon as well in def….. as such, I’m rushing to get wines and touk, and will upgrade the rest of my positions later…. I’m just rushing mid upgrades like a gold rush!!! Haha
