Just saw your post saying you’re fielding Noddy and those 2. Jesus wept 😂😂

Thanks. But my question was more is he going to last till the bye. I don’t care if he sucks. His 35 might be useful round 12 😂😂
I reckon Noddy goes alright this week. Showed he has a ceiling against the Giant, was on 65 at 3 quarter time against Essendon before spending most the quarter on the bench after a head knock (think it was ahead knock might of been something else). Admittedly scores against Carlton and the Cats weren't great but should have more than the 70% & 64% TOG this week with Freo's covid outs. Lastly - Norf.

Should be at least a good loop option for those that can.

Im copping him for Hewett but he’s D6 not 4 😂

TBH i sit in the other camp

Ive been playing fantasy for years (used to only get a limited amount of trades, and could only trade 2 a week)

And it makes it more interesting the harder it is..... injuries come and go, and everyone is on an even playing field.

Less trades means you actually have to think about your trades, and have a wide variety of trading strats, as well as strats for your starting teams.

I will be in a minority here, but i would love for AFL fantasy to give us less trades, not more hahaha
Like I said in a later post, I’m usually of that opinion too. But this year was unique in the sense that Covid protocols were the X factor. We’re not really all in the same boat at all… some people have only one or two missing this week while others have as many as 7 or 8 players out. That makes the game more about luck than skill. So if there was going to be a year when initiatives like the boost were seriously considered, this should have been it.

FWIW I watched Mccomb both weeks because I had him, I reckon those 2 goals saved his ass, bloke will be out for Bont next week, Buku will stay in Bonts forward role instead and Bont will play wing/mid

I wouldn't be trading him in

Holy shit my season is rooted. I’m by no means an elite coach, but have three, top 500 seasons to my name.

Got $340k in the bank with the plan to upgrade both Rachelle and JHF (sadly both still on field) or at the very least one down/one up.

Teams drop and I have both Clark and Crouch out in the mids with only Ward for cover.

McDonald rested, Hewitt not back and Daicos touch and go etc etc

At the moment I’m going Hewitt to Short and Couch to Neale.

Even then I’m having to field Ward, Rachelle and one of Mcartin or De Koning.

By far and away my worst fantasy season ever.

As promised, Hewett can fk off. Could have held him and traded Daicos, but I've now got more flexibility and a better bye structure.

Moving Daicos into the backline, with NOD as bench cover. If NOD scores well, I'll move Daicos into the mids and bring W. Kelly in from utility to loop NOD's score.

Start McComb on bench and Clark on the ground. Depending on who scores worse out of NOD and McComb, I will loop in Daicos. If both score well, Daicos will be on the bench.

Trades will be:

Hewett > Cameron
Crouch > Touk

Also had a massive win with Soligo making into the Crows squad of 26.

Gonna have to miss one of Carroll or Coop this week and maybe next, and I'm leaning towards Coop at this stage given Carroll has been named on field again (they're both on a wing but I've only seen one play) and has already shown a propensity for scoring...

Same boring trades after all that - as I'll have more than enough bench cover in the mids now, so JHF is basically irrelevant to me now and maxxed out in price.

JHF > Carroll
McInnes > Crisp

55K remaining

JHF is cooked imo.

Staggered be won Rising star on the weekend. He looks like he needs a rest he can barely play 65% TOG atm. He needs to take notes from Brodie

Looks like no matter what i do... i'm stuck fielding Hobbs.... i am praying for a fremantle late out so erasmus can play

I've been pushing shit up hill all season, and I'm somehow maintaining my rank the last 4 rounds - but not going any further. Absolute sh*t truck of a season, IMO

I was looking at Brodie to Gawn, Daics to Touk. With Rachele and NOD on field.

But I’d prefer to field Brodie and trade Rachele. So now I’m on Rachele to Gawn and Hewy to Touk. Hold Daics and if he misses I’ll cop Paddy’s “score”.

At least we know Hewett is out and can plan around it - far better than the bullshit the Suns pulled with Rosas a late out after we’d all some of us had I’d traded him in.

I've considered trading Hewett, but his run if he comes back next week, is ridiculous:

Round 9: Giants - NEUTRAL
Round 10: Sydney - GOOD (every player wants to have a blinder against their old side, and I reckon he'll monster it - still a hard team though)
Round 11: Collingwood -VERY GOOD
Round 12: BYE
Round 13: Essendon - VERY GOOD
Round 14: Richmond - VERY GOOD

Essentially if you give 0 points for a bad match up, 1 for neutral, 2 for good and 3 for very good - he's got 12 out of a possible 15 points over 5 rounds. Still not a bad idea to trade, but I'm always playing the long game and just trying to complete my team, rather than trade straight out. Weird year though, so I'm not against it like other years
