Change of plans, I'm just getting Coop in as I was never getting Caroll anyway as I had Clark locked in. Already have McComb traded in last week, so I'll roll the dice and miss out on the Round 12 bye player - as I have too many as it is already. Hopefully Coop, McComb and Clark somehow make it to their byes (not bloody likely), in which case I'll be back on track again.

Gives me this side (which is not bad, all things considering - 28 green dots and looping McComb with Hewett):

Really don't know what to do with my trades. Probably gotta play it boring and bolster my forwards and defenders with Coleman/Cameron types

At this point, if you're a green dot, you're safe.

Rachele, JHF, NOD & Ward most likely all on field this week.

I've considered trading Hewett, but his run if he comes back next week, is ridiculous:

Round 9: Giants - NEUTRAL
Round 10: Sydney - GOOD (every player wants to have a blinder against their old side, and I reckon he'll monster it - still a hard team though)
Round 11: Collingwood -VERY GOOD
Round 12: BYE
Round 13: Essendon - VERY GOOD
Round 14: Richmond - VERY GOOD

Essentially if you give 0 points for a bad match up, 1 for neutral, 2 for good and 3 for very good - he's got 12 out of a possible 15 points over 5 rounds. Still not a bad idea to trade, but I'm always playing the long game and just trying to complete my team, rather than trade straight out. Weird year though, so I'm not against it like other years
I’m happy to hold but that might be because I’ve got several other non-playing personnel that can go before him. But even if he was the only out then I definitely see the merit in holding him for one more. Clear top-6 defender with a good run coming up and SURELY he’s back next week? 😬

Unrelated to your team but that screenshot is larger than my team on the actual Fantasy website...

You're assuming he comes back and maintains his pre-injury output. If he does, he's a target for round 13.

I'm no medico, but if he was close to full recovery, they would have named him, as there's still 3 days till there game.

Completely agree, and trust me - I'm not potting the move to get rid of him. It'll probably bite me in the ass TBH, but when I think about how many teams have him and how many will likely hold, I'm reluctant to go against more than half the comp. He's not some 80's guy either, he's displayed he's a genuine Top 6 DEF (currently he's Top 3) with his role and his ability. One I'm happy to grin and bear, if it means one less trade wasted.

Seriously though, again, nothing against the move - makes complete sense given it's now the 2nd week he hasn't been named :)

Until daicos is out and you are forced to play SDK, because you traded JHF already!!!

I'm already in that position - no matter what happens, haha. NOD is being played on field, due to Hewett missing again. It's why I had to get a premo defender this week, because I would have copped a donut otherwise. JHF out just means I can get all the way up to Crisp - who is a Top 2 DEF in the game right now.

Hewett is in the mids so I can loop McComb (trust NOD on field more and pretty much everyone will be fielding him this week anyway)

yeh i didnt look at it close enough haha

Is there any way you can somehow get maccomb on the field if daicos is out? so you end up start mccomb instead of SDK?

I like it a lot but that midfield needs a build up - not much uber and Duncan yuck.

So Criuch to Cripps locked

Trade 2

1. Rachele to Mccomb
Keep playing a NOD/Mccomb at M7 from next week, Clark M8

2. Rachele to Coleman, NOD becomes M9 next week, Coleman F6, but can float

Essentially Coleman v Mccomb? With either likely an on field guy

Agreed. Not much I can do 'til the byes though, so I'm just sort of lulling about until then lmao

EDIT: Consider Steele, Cripps and Neale all as 'ubers' - but would look a lot better if Dunc pulled his finger out and Bailey Smith started behaving like one, haha. Jelly could get to where I want him to now that Greene is back and he's a pure mid without the captaincy worries (seriously Cogs doesn't even feel like he's even part captain haha)

I trust the Blues more than most teams though. They said Cripps 1 week and it was.
I think they genuinely did think Hewy would be back and should be next week. Annoying with the r12 bye but alas.
The rd 12 bye is the kicker for me. Trading Hewett allows me to get Touk. If I kept him and traded Daicos, I could only get Cripps. I'd then have 14 out (including 2 red dots) for the rd 12 bye.
