Same as Hewett people who has sources if we believe or not is the question

Honestly, there's nothing on Twitter or Facebook re: Neale - and that quote on the last page I posted is from just 5 hours ago. Whoever's saying stuff about Neale is just telling porkies, IMO

Why is a R12 premo considered a big risk?
Steele is not a risk. If you want him grab him.
R12 should actually be the easiest round to field 18-20players as we have months to prepare for it.

It's usually the 2 byes after it all goes pear shaped when rookies you had been banking on get dropped or premos injured...

... I actually see it as a positive as having some big uber premos from r12 locked away to carry you through 13 or 14.

We only get 3 trades post R12 after all, so we may only add 1 or 2 premos max with our 3 trades after R12.
Moreso the extra game I get between now and r13 with them.
Im a little r12 heavy atm - Hewett Short Whit Cripps Preuss Cogs Butters Martin are a decent bunch to lose that week.

HAYES TO Stephens or Mccomb

AND

HEWETT to Parker or Dunkley
Get Dunks
Given I already possess G. Clark I was wondering which two of the following kids you would trade in C Stephens (Geel), R McComb (WBD), C Hamilton (GWS), J Carrol (Carl), A Begg (Coll), F Evans (Geel), R Thompson (GCS), B Khamis (WBD), J Callow (Haw)??

My first instinct is Stephens and Carrol.
McComb and Carroll
Wait a week on Stephen’s

I’m actually going to E Noddy for Hewett so I can slot SDK in if he stinks. Wouldn’t have even bothered setting up that loop 3 weeks ago. Progress.

That’s bold and I love.
What’s he paying for a nab rising star nom this week… I’m loading up

I think I'm just gonna leave this up to the fantasy gods, IMO. Gonna lock in my trade of JHF > Crisp, as I need a premo defender and JHF plays Friday night.

Then, if McComb scores over 75, I'll keep Hewett and reverse my trade of Parker as I won't need him on field anymore - and bring in Carroll or Coop. If McComb scores under 75, I'll trade Hewett to Parker. No point trying to figure out what's gonna happen - just gotta leave it up to chance and hope for the best!

How stacked is your team that you can sit NOD on the bench this week with Hewett and probably Daicos out?
Haha, nah not NOD - but the same plan with Hewett on my mid bench being looped with McComb. I'm royally screwed if Daics is out, as NOD is already on field

Basically the below team if McComb goes < 75
Parker > Hewett reversed and back to my bench, with Reef out and Coop in if McComb goes > 75

Essentially the same plan as NOD in the backline, but with McComb in the mids instead :)

Duncan's form has been horrendous. Seems to have no consistency in his scoring quarter by quarter. 30's in one, then sub 10 the next quarter.

For those "privileged" to own him and have watched Geelong recently, what's the go with him?

3 things:

1. His fitness looks crap - and he's basically gone next week if I see the same thing from him in his preferred role. Either that, or I shove him forward at F5 and hope for the best down the track. Has 'bursts' but cannot run out a game to save his life right now. His last quarters have been the thing of nightmares since he returned.

2. Has been playing a lot more inside, and he is NOT suited to that role. Can play limited minutes in there, but he's not an extractor, but rather, the 'receiver' from the bulls like Parf, Danger, Sel etc. Since Danger has been out and he's been forced to play that role - he has not done well. Doesn't help that we don't chip it around much this year either, as that has affected his natural fantasy scoring too.

3. Had an interrupted pre-season, and as a result has had no continuity - in either role or fitness. I'm hoping now that he's named on the wing this week, that he'll go back to what he does best: drifting around the field doing whatever the f*ck he wants and taking +6's, taking kick ins, kicking goals and getting disposals at will...I'm not holding my breath though, haha.

Amateur hour from the Carlton medicos. With a bad corkie the blood is usually drained to prevent it spreading. Sounds like they just sent him home with a she'll be right.

If they've now done that he should be right for next week. But who the hell knows.

Late night thinking about this, and I've started to revise my thinking around 'sideways trades.' Unlike trades where you say cull a premo down to a rook in order to improve your side/make cash gen, sideways trades are only ever 1 trade - instead of 2.

So basically, instead of losing a week's worth of trades, you're actually only losing 1 trade if you end up keeping the player you sideways trade to (and trading a higher priced rook while leaving the 'dead rook' for another week when you have less to do).

For example, these were my 3 weeks of trades before all the carnage:

JHF > Clark (Coop after news came in)
McInnes > Crisp

These have now become my current trades (pending McComb's score):

JHF > Crisp
Hewett > Parker

These were my planned trades for the next 2 weeks:

Round 8:

JHF > Clark
McInnes > Crisp

Round 9:

Curnow > Coop
Ward > Parker

*********************

All that changes if Hewett were to return and I wanted him back in, is:

Round 8:

JHF > Crisp
Hewett > Parker

Round 9:

Curnow > Clark
Ward > Hewett (if he's back in)

**********************

With these sort of trades, the only thing I miss out on is Coop as a rookie - but I end up getting Parker on field for Hewett a week early. The more I think about it, the more it actually makes sense - as long as the rookie or player you miss out on/were looking to get in, isn't a 'must have.'

I'm usually against sideways trading if it's a week, but if he doesn't come back next week due to the achilles issue - then that'll be 3 weeks until he plays again. Is that worth losing the possible extra 60-80 points you get from having a Luke Parker on field over two weeks? This is why I'm just seeing if McComb can cover that points loss with a really decent rookie score (get within 30-40 of Parker) - and then bringing in a bench rookie and saving my trades until next week and holding Hewett if that does eventuate.

Honestly, I don't know which way is right at this stage given the new info that's come to light, but it's definitely an interesting way to look at things. Makes it even more interesting that you can even keep him out until the bye, and then just bring him back Round 12 - or bring in someone in his place like Doch instead.

Said it a few times, but no matter what happens from here, it really has been such a strange topsy-turvy year already!

Seriously tempted to do a double upgrade this week and miss Carrol and get Coop next week.

This has been the most frustrating year of fantasy by far for me due to coach's being "stupid you know who you are" covid outs/injures and of course players that should be good being spuds everywhere

Which one of JHF and Brodie will make his BE this week? going to trade 1 but have to decide before Friday

Edit:
Sonova i just noticed i will have to do both my trades before the Fridays games unless i want to hold Xerri again

Harry Petty had the same injury and they drained it immediately. He still missed 3 weeks.

Rumor is Carroll will be an out this week .....tough, as he's last game of the weekend, so it's a gamble

Trades
Xerri to Clarke
Crouch to Brayshaw

Crouch trade was due to a player revolt within my team .....he's out, or we walk, was the ultimatum ....so I bowed to player pressure within a Fantasy Side ....WTF !!

I have a SERIOUS cash generation problem ....so need to bring in a Rookie every week ....can't afford to miss one, and there's a few coming thru .....J.Hayes stuck at R3 still, so I need to plan HTF I can trade him next week  .....Strnadica apparently not on the plane to Brisbane :)
