Hobbes scored 30 this round, has an average of 49 and BE of 35, and Round 12 bye so seems less useful than JHF. That could land you Parker up forward or Zorko down back.
Is it too late/expensive to get Dunkley in? Currently have Smith, McRae and Treloar but my forward line stinks. Double downgrade last week so have $622K to upgrade anyone. Thinking:
1. Rowell & Brodie = Touk & Dunkley
2. Rowell & JHF = Touk & Parker
$600k so can make any move really

Gah. Looks like I'm gonna have to pass on Crippa again as JHF and Rachele don't get me enough cash and I don't want to go too early on other rooks (that option would be Rachelle/Brodie out for Cripps/Carroll). The frustration is only eased by his R12 bye not working for my team.
Early trades currently revolving around Rach/JHF out for - Zorko/Carroll (to boost backline), Anderson/Hamilton (midfield) or Parker/Carroll (fwd).
Will look at more exciting trades (i.e. big boy midfielder) next week...

Option #1 Upgrade/Downgrade
Xerri -> Gawn
Rowell -> Clark (i would trade JHF but i can't get to gawn with him)
Option #2 double bench upgrade/fix
McInnes -> Clark
Hough -> McComb (or a similar rookie)
Someone fix my team

Its interesting the guy coming first doesn't own Cripps (advantage not copping his 36 I guess) and also has 5 rooks on field.

Getting Gawn in is a great idea.
Your DEF and FWD are really good.
Main needs are:
-dumping McCartin and Xerri
-upgrading rucks
-upgrading M6/7
So next week you aim to downgrade/upgrade JHF.
He's probably pulled a George Constanza and done the opposite of every instinct he's had so far

I think Gawn is a must. He's got a BE of 84, if he smashes out another 130 before playing WC next week he will be unattainable soon.

This is why I never believe in the term “must have” Cripps is a great option, but not must have. The guy who came 2nd last year never had Steele all year who was the best midfielder. You can still do well without having a certain player

The only other option is English IMO. He's averaging similar to Gawn for 70k cheaper. Stef Martin has been pretty bad so I can see English going back to the same role.
The issue is Gawn is so expensive that it ruins your future week plans. For example if I go Daicos (most expensive trade out option) and JHF to Gawn/Clark that leaves me like 10k left I am stagnated next week and can't even get Rachele and whoever to a premo. Then I'd feel 2 weeks behind others...

I'm hoping to grab English as a forward soon and then if I ever need to palm off Preuss I can easily do it. Definitely a good alternative if Gawn is going to **** up plans.
Any update on when English is back so I can forward plan for him lol.
