Max Gawn will have a scan on his knee after hurting it against the Saints on Sunday, the Melbourne big man was adament he wouldn't miss any game time.

Sounds like he needs a rest.

They will win by 100 points without him so better safe than sorry!

I’m pretty set on Bowey and Rowell both ****ing off this week.

Thinking I might go a Geelong double with Stephens and Duncan. Shadow89 Is Duncan back to relentlessly racking up cheap +6’s?

NOD comes on field for Bowey which is probably a wash. Get my on field upgrade plus $211k in the kitty to upgrade Noddy next week.

Pushes those frauds Butters/Rozee to F5/6.

Doesn't want the stress of owning Darcy yet floats the idea of trading in Max Lynch...
Well when you put it that way... :tearsofjoy:

Difference is, low risk high reward. Gets me Dawson instead of Macdonald, while getting rid of Skinner -

Doubt I'll do it, but Lynch has a really low BE and a permanent role, and looked really good on the weekend - and most have a backup in Sam Hayes - so it's not the WORST idea (it's not the best one either, haha)

He definitely was on the weekend, but it won't be like that every week, IMO. With that said, Bews being out and Knevitt and Coop coming in, is just about the best thing that could happen for him - as he pretty much HAS TO play that sweeper, go anywhere, do whatever he wants role from half back, so we give exposure to the kids in their natural positions.

As long as Danger plays, he'll play well - because he doesn't have to play a pure inside role - which he sucks at. All about role with Dunc, and he definitely looked to have it back last week.

I reckon Duncan is a touch risky becuase he’ll definitely be rested again at some point.

Good point actually. Might have to keep looking. Although there is a bye coming up so might have a completed team by the time he does.
The only Geelong players I could say I would be confident in picking right now in my team in terms of onfield are Stewart, Guthrie, Hawkins and Cameron.

who have they actually rested so far?

Old man Selwood and campaigner Danger don't really count in my opinion.

I find it hard to see them resting someone like Duncan if he's good to go. Bye not far off for his rest anyway.

Guthrie I’d be keen if I didn’t have 3 x round 13 bye mid premos already plus Clark who will still have cash to make coming out of his bye.

I’ve actually got a pretty good bye situation when it comes to premo mids.

Only one missing in R12- Steele
Three in R13- Macrae, Laird, Keays
Two in R14- Lyons, Neale.

I have the same but different players

Cripps
Smith, Crae, Miller
Neale, Brayshaw

Obligatory gif when mentioning Smith too

Haha. I get the idea but I think Lynch is all risk, no reward. I own him in a keeper (sadly he's my only ruck) so have been keeping a close eye on him. This weekend aside, he just isn't a fantasy scorer this year. His tank isn't there so he rarely gets to dangerous positions, either up forward or in general play. His disposal isn't flash, so he tends to get bypassed when Hawks have the ball. I'm pretty confident that last round was a one off, especially given he's up against Nank/Soldo and Big O/Fort over the coming weeks.

With the Gawn crisis averted i can now properly start thinking about my trades.

One of them will be JHF to Clark, which will then give me two options of either upgrading my forwards or my defence.

I could cash in early on NoD or Daicos which would reduce the on field rookies in defence down to 1, or do something similar with the forwards to get SDK off the ground and back on the bench, leaving Martin the only on field rookie there.

Decisons decisons….

With dilemma type decisions like that, my rule of thumb is to get the worst performing rookie off the ground.
