Laird 115 IMO because after the next 2 games he has the easeist schedule in the league

Wines 110

So Wines is the best value in the game if you can afford another rd 12 bye player
But re: the bolded. He also has the hardest fixture over the next two weeks. I think you can wait till after the Geelong game to bring Laird in or more practically, after his bye - you miss out on the Eagles but you still get Hathorn, North, Suns and Melbourne after the Bye.

Definitely. I still think he goes 110 the next two regardless and won't drop any cash because his BE is very achievable and he's a beast

But agree he's not dropping a 130 the next two

I think he'll struggle to crack the tonne on average over the next two.

Big call. He went 119 on Geelong last year and 121 on the Saints (with Steele). 18/22 tons last year.

Challenge accepted for the pig.

Blakey took 9 kickouts to Lloyd's 2 on the weekend.

If he does not have a monopoly on the kickouts I don't like him as an option. I think he keeps going at 90ish and don't see the upside. Swans want the ball in younger players hands now
Don't mention Blakey to me...I had him for 4 weeks this year...round 4->7...

I'm looking at Zorko instead of Wines this week. Same price, arguably same sort of scoring in their respective roles. Wines bye is just a killer. Handy having Zorko with the round 14 bye. Hate his injury history though but it is what it is. Feel like he will go up more in value this week than Wines will so always the potential to go Wines next week still or just wait for Merrett to bottom out as he should hit 800k as well

Zorko this week Wines after his bye for me as well.

I've got 5 clear trade targets now, that will cost f*ck all in the scheme of things, and will have my team full premo coming out of the byes (have 1.15 MIL above the 190K x 8 amount, and counting on my bench - even with 3 dead rooks -, so have more than enough to get all of the below from who I have on field):

Wines - will likely be 820K at worst
Titch - will likely be 830K at worst
Zerrett - will likely be 850K at worst
TT - will likely be 800K at worst
Hall - will likely be 750 at worst

Titch is the interesting one there, as Mitchell clearly realizes that his midfield is getting smacked, and he needs someone decent in there to look after them. His comments this week suggest that much, and without his 51 last week, Titch is still averaging 95+ - which is fine for an M7 or M8 with his massive upside. The others are pretty self-explanatory

Zerrett is already 840k. Highly likely he hits 800k odd. Hasn't been that cheap in years

Forgetting someone who could be the ultimate POD

Keays IMO is the type who will beat up on the weaker teams because he gets on the end of possession chains and kicks the ball more than Laird. Whereas opponent doesn't matter for Laird. I think he might match Laird in the second half of the year which has me second guessing him at 900k+

He's already gone 134 on Bombers, 131 on Pies, 132 on Dockers. Will be 840k in a couple of weeks. I am thinking he goes big on WCx2, North x2, Pies, Hawks, GC etc

Zez is going to have to drop a monster score on us not to continue that trajectory. Given we won’t pay him much respect he may well get there tbh if he has his normal role.

Agreed. I need a back up plan in case Wines gets away from me. 2 spots to fill. Wines and Zez the targets but timing will be important.

All comes down to taking some slight under priced options to have a full team by round 14 vs going full uber and having 1 rook still on field

Always interesting which way to go and what ends up best. Last year I went the latter and it won out with Sharp (GC) as the saviour rook. Will be doing the same this year if another one comes along.

Almost had Keays at the start of the year (Round 3), and definitely agree that he could go big against those sides. With that said, Laird is taking a LOT of his possessions and their midfield is getting smashed, week in and week out right now. With ROB gone now, makes it less likely that they'll win possession out of the midfield, so his scoring suffers as a result. Laird on the other hand is just such a seagull that racks it up everywhere, so it doesn't matter if they win or lose - he just gets ball.

All of that said, he's definitely on my radar coming out of the byes - but will have to drop below 850K for me to consider him above the other topliner guys I put up

Can see them averaging similar. Feel way more comfortable with Laird though. Keays defs the higher ceiling but I mean he's gone 4 plain 100's in a row while Laird is pumping out robotic 120's. Keays would need to get significantly cheaper than him to make me go that way.

I'd want him at the $820k mark maybe up to $840k. Not sure he gets to the low end but he could.
