If there was a head clash in Stockers bump, fine. Can deal with it.

I’m still trying to figure out what grounds they got Young on.
Ball in vicinity, not high, Zurhaar played on. Bizarre decision.
It’s only bizarre if you believe Christian to be an astute and fair individual … he’s not so therefore there’s nothing bizarre at all … the club should be challenging this rubbish to the nth degree …

Were either of them high?

Youngs maybe was but I'm not 100%, Stockers looked like the perfect bump to me, nothing wrong with it
Young wasn't charged with high contact it was for front-on contact to the body - a complete and utter joke. Stocker apparently for a clash of heads when he elected to bump which I am also failing to see

Stocker going to miss through injury anyway.

Must challange Youngs though.

That one has to he overturned. How ridiculous. MRO should give themselves a fine for such idiocy!
You have to challenge both to have a hope of one of them getting off … of course that one will most likely be the injured stocker lol

Whats this 'front on contact' shit for young.

What else was he going to do, get out of Zurhaars way and let him run past with the ball?
I've watched it a few times now. Its about two minutes in Q4. The ball is in between Zurhaar and Young after Zurhaar has been paddling it forward but he is not in possession. If Young bends down they clash heads. He stops, props and Zurhaar runs into him. No hit to the head at all. Only other option for Young is to let him run pass and take possession, not sure he can even do that at Zurhaar is coming at him so no where to go. So he avoided the worst case of a head clash, kept his elbow down, didn't push through the hip and shoulder at all and kept his feet grounded. Both players went on without injury. How that is not play on, I don't know.

So AFL are eliminating football contact and encouraging acting at the same time... Nothing for Hogan's disgraceful display.

What quarters were the Stocker and Young incidents? Young would have been Q4?
“Lewis Young, Carlton, has been charged with Forceful Front-On-Contact against Cameron Zuhaar, North Melbourne, during the fourth quarter of the Round Seven match between Carlton and North Melbourne played at Marvel Stadium on Saturday, April 30, 2022.

In summary, the player can accept a one-match suspension with an early plea.

Based on the available evidence, the incident was assessed as Careless Conduct, High Impact, Body Contact. The incident was classified as a one-match sanction as a first offence. The player can accept a one-match sanction with an early plea.”

View attachment 1389142Right so went down the MRO guidelines rabbit hole. This is what they’ve got him on.

I feel like this rule wasn’t written with the Young incident in mind.
Everything there is about the head being down, trying to pick up the ball and situations like that. Not while the player is upright and running…
