Preseason scheduling is so dumb. Why give teams short weeks, just means they don't play any starters

Teams dont play starters anyway. especially not week 2 since most teams had joined practice this week for the starters.

Considering he was clearly QB4 given PJ Walker was getting more playing time than him, he seemed destined for the practice squad. Not sure of going on IR or the practice squad (and therefore potentially with another team) is the better situation in terms of his development

Chargers imploding vs Cowboys but the real story is Turpin, the Cowboys returner. A 98 yard kick return TD and a marvellous 86 yard punt return TD.

Btw thats the same Kavontae Turpin who just won the USFL MVP for the NJ Generals for the same thing...tons of return TDs.

PJ would have been cut I think, they have some dream of a team trading for him, pretty sure thats why they were giving him playing time.

Robinson didnt have a spectacular game, he was solid. But Gibson had a poor day rushing, but had a very good day catching passes. Reckon Robinson and Gibson are 1A and 1B. Robinson handling early down work and Gibson as a third down weapon along with McKissic. How I interpret their pre-season form and abilities

I agree, I think it will start out Gibson 60% Robinson 40%
If Gibson keeps fumbling though it will quickly become Robinson's backfield.
I dont own Robinson in a single fantasy league, wish I did though, really like him, very smooth and patient runner for a bigger back, great hands as a pass catcher, good pass protector on 3rd and 4th downs. There is a lot to like.

Same. Don't own him but would've if i had another pick for his draft round. Soon as they drafted him i knew Gibson was on a short leash. Gibson is probably better suited to a permanent scat back role.
A lot of other rookie RBs didn't wow today either. Vaughn out-did R.White. B.Brown out-shone Z White. Cook and Davis-Price, Chestnut and Haskins, did ok. Chandler and Koback ok.

Hes better than quite a few NFL teams backups, including the Niners.
If we were to cut him id expect someone to pick him up.
Shame it's still only happened 13 times, as impressive as they were, we ain't acknowledging records set in preseason
Maybe he will be part of the Jimmy G deal as Carolina play 3 QBs on a drive depending on the situation

We cant afford Jimmy. And nobody is trading for him knowing you have to cut him.
CEO was saying today we'll keep him on the roster, so looks like we've got our back up sorted
