Erasmus projects as the stereotypical inside mid imo. Can see him replacing Fyfe in the midfield as early as next year whenever he's (Fyfe) unavailable. And if Serong or Brodie are unavailable at any stage he'll replace them too.Hes going to be a beauty! He, Worner and Johnson along with AB, Brodie and Serong are going to be some midfield over the coming years!

First time I’ve seen Benning play, and playing KPD at that. Smart footballer. Missed a tackle or two but in the contests got a spoil in regularly and read the ball well. Saw him directing teammates a few times as well which is interesting considering he is known to be shy.

Otherwise a very strong midfield performance with almost all Freo listed players having a positive influence. Tucker BOG for me. Meek is very very good and will be sad to lose him

Managed to catch the last half so a very small sample but Treacy seems like he's lacking a fair bit of confidence albeit in rubbish conditions for a KPF. Western showed a few glimpses and Johnson looks like he could be an absolute gem splitting time between the forward flank and midfield.

Agree wholeheartedly re Benning.

Sad to learn that we're losing Meek though, where have you seen that?

Two things I noted from the stats: Darcy Tucker had a hell of a game, and the Perth ruckman is called Dakota ... kudos to him.

Sorry meant ‘if’. Hard to see him staying if we land Jackson

Ah ok. Does it change anything though if we lose Lobb? He'd still be in the same position. I guess he could go regardless to try and seek more opportunities but he'd be mad to imo. Sign for a further 2 and see where things are at. Darcy breaks down a lot so the odds of playing finals even this year are quite good - continue to enjoy the ride while you're here I say.

Western is only 19 but still has a lot of work to do. Just looks lost, no running patterns and no repeat efforts. I'm still bullish on him so I hope they club commit to him and his development.

Hard to assess given the conditions and average opposition but most players went well.

Thought Crowden, Tucker, Meek, Erasmus and Wilson were the pick of them. Each could potentially earn a recall at top level. Hughes as well although not sure where he fits position wise.

Positive signs from Worner and Johnson too.

Treacy was ok in patches but Sturt didn’t do a lot and is a fair way off. Western developing well but better in dry conditions.

Johnson was great early on but seems to fade each week towards the end of the game. When Worner was on the wing, he seemed to make things happen. Not sure why Hughes is there, I think Worner was by far the better wingman today but his time there was limited. Meek is clearly above this level week in and week out, why is he continuously overlooked.

Probably the biggest reason I'm so excited for Johnson next year. Every week he dominates the first half before fading. Give him an actual AFL pre-season and he's going to be unstoppable

Wormer isn't great defensively sometimes. Tackles with his hands often, if he tackles at all. Not sure if it improved today, haven't seen a replay yet. His kicking has improved though

Ethan Hughes isn’t a wingman. If he can’t fit in the backline I’d prefer he be tried forward. We’re giving Logue a shot at it, Sturt is miles off it, so why not Ethan?
