They often take new players close to selection on trips to get them used to it. Erasmus having a week off after an enormous preseason is only a good thing in my book - it’s a really long season!

Agree completely, I remember last year he did something similar with O'Driscoll i think? Get the to see first hand how we travel and experience an away game day, sleeping in hotels, what you're eating, how the team prepares and going through the warm ups with them. Great way of exposing them without the pressure of playing straight away.

Are any of those Peel forwards tall or Amiss going to be double teamed buy blokes twice his weight?
Derksen is 197cm. And Blair Bell plays a lot taller than his 188cm. So does Sturt really.
Sears is 189cm as well. So Western is the only midget, joined I suspect by Ryan Bennell who is one on the bench that will play along with Worner, Cullen Anderson, Matthews. Think the others will play in the Reserves practice game instead.
Which players are missing across both games?
Wilson, Taberner, Fyfe, Darcy, Johnson, Benning, Valente (who we haven’t replaced)…..
We only have 42 players, that’s everyone. 26 traveled to Adelaide, 9 at Peel, 6 injured and 1 retired.
