Coming back from a calf but hasn't really lit it up at Peel tbh

Flashes in and out but that early season form as the number one man at East Perth hasn't been here

Might be a risk of not receiving a contract tbh

If we saw enough in him earlier in the season to draft him I doubt we'll cut him based on half a season where he's been yanked out and dropped into an unfamiliar environment. JLo seems like a coach who understands the importance of clarity and consistency of role.

Based on his body shape alone we would surely have been expecting him to be a long term project.

Depends on how he has fit into the program, if it aint working then it aint working

It certainly feels like we wanted Derksen and when he was gone we took the next best tall forward option hoping it would work out

I'd expect him to get an extra year though

I literally just said I think he gets the extra year

as for how its not working, dropped to reserves near the end of season, not performing anywhere near as well at Peel compared to East Perth, then the question can be asked if this shows at training? I'm not privy to the last answer but I said that if it's not working then it isn't working, thats for the club to judge

Sounds like a lot of Captain Obvious

Definitely should get another year.

Could be a bust but so could many players. If either he or Benning get up we've got some genuine x-factor.

From what I have seen of him at Peel, I would give Kuek a year more to see how he goes; he definitely is a more athletic tall which I think suits our gamestyle. I don't read too much in to him being in the reserves at the end of a season when we have a heap of players really putting pressure on for spots.

Currently 11 in the league side and 2 in reserves. Don’t they max out the league at 12. Possibly Henry or Banfield to drop back. Leaves that flexibility.

Treacy rolled his ankle at training it seems. No idea what the go is with Hamling but honestly can’t see him on the list next year. Hamling was training from the gallery pictures. Jed Adams debuts in his absence.

Makes sense for Kuek to play reserves he has missed about the past 3-4 weeks with his calf.

Kuek is essentially an early pick for the rookie draft. I see no reason why he wouldn’t get a second year. Heck Dillon O’Reilly managed a to get a second season. Kuek has shown glimpses but seems to have struggled to gel as a forward with Peel. He essentially got ripped out of his league side that he had played all pre-season and around 8 games with to jump into a new team.

Why not bring in Benning for Hamling - Need to see if he can hold down a position at Peel. His mindset would not be great being mostly the only player to be in reserves whilst his mates are in the 1's. Surely its a balance of winning and more so development for these players. Worner back where he should be after 14 marks last week and great consistency when in main Peel lineup. His development should be Peels 1st each week rather than Hamling. Kuek probably best through the ressies to find some touch and return soon as has not had much impact from what I have seen, but possibly needs a year in the system training with better players.

They clearly see a much higher need for Banfield or Henry to play than Benning which is totally understandable

Agreed in the main picture, these 2 guys have to play. If Peels first team allows 1 more Freo player to play why keep Benning out

It's about time someone other than Worner was made to play ressies! It makes perfect sense that Kuek is that someone. He's back from regular injury so will need to be managed and he hasn't set the league on fire when he has played in any case.
Kuek didn't need to be dropped, we have room for one more player

Benning is getting to play #1 ruck today in the reserves so I can see why they are holding him down
