Maybe, but rookies starting @$200k need to average 80+ really to make enough money to trade out by round 8-10. Not many 18 years can come in and do that.

Rowell only lasted 5 games and Walsh averaged 86 and topped out at about $440k from memory.

We'll have to see, but it will be difficult fitting in 2 x $200k rookies.
Horne will definitely make my starting side .....Unless he gets to the Crows, who tend to ease rookies into the side in support roles

Horne goes to whoever finishes last, so North. Crom won't finish last, although the tank is on from you and Hawthorn

Hey !!!! .....we don't tank !!! .....we're naturally bad

Won't be confident if he was at Hawthorn either. Clarko (if he's still there) hates rookies.
wdym? they are in full rebuild mode, any player under 22 will get constant games for them, especially with Mitchell taking over in 2023

Clarko hates rookies, he wants to win every game and won't play them if he doesn't think they help win the match.

If he's not there (and I doubt he is) it's a different story.

Playing too many rookies at the same time is not good for the kids development either.

I really don't want to start Grundy, but there's no other options. Ruckodile Dundy it is! Goodbye 15% of my salary cap :(

If Grundy or Darcy have pre-season niggles, then I'll look at ROB, who if injury free, should be good for 105+

Lots of star mids I want to lock in, but there's just too many to get them all. I'll happily take any mix of Macrae, Bont, Oliver, Trak, Walsh, Steele, Touk, Parish, Titch, Mills, Laird, Zerrett, Wines.

Lloyd and Short locked in. Probably one of Zieb or Hall as well. Dale another solid option.

Jezza Cameron with a full preseason averaged at ~80 up forward? Maybe. Marshall locked in

Ridley, Stewart, Hall, Lukosius, Maynard, rook

Bont, Walsh, Miller, Parish, Rowell, Horne, Daicos, rook

Darndy

De Goey Marshall English rook rook rook

Didn't realize we were doing our 2022 completed teams!

seven rooks on the field? Reckon I won't be able to afford it?
No way, reckon that's around 12mil adding the bench. Gotta remember Daicos and Horne will be $200k. You've also got 15 non rookie priced players, nobody this year started with that, impossible.

You may be right, but lots of the non-rooks aren't SPs - De Goey, Rowell, Lukosius, Maynard, Marshall all going to cost less. English is the first guy I'd toss. Anyway it's very early days and I didn't do the maths

Rowell the only one there under $400k

I'm finding this planning almost impossible to do atm :'(

Firstly I have to decide if I want to go GnRs or Mid-pricer madness

If I'm going to go Mid-pricer madness, the likely players will only be obvious once the pre-season starts

Work on 12-13 premo's (obviously depends on how SP you go in the mids) 2-4 Midpricer/$200k + rookies and the rest low priced rookies.

Just imo but the goal is to pick premo's that will last the season. I.e. no Taytay Adams, Punchy, Jelly, Zilliams, these kents will burn you no matter how cheap they seem.
