TT is pretty close to the most talented guy on our list prior to JHF and he'll be through the guts a lot - I can see him having a huge season. Can see him being a top 5 fwd.

With dpp changes during the year, there's no chance TT ends up top 5 forward. You've got the rose coloured glasses thing happening.

MPM all the way baby!
My midfield is really weak, but my FWD line is pretty much done (opposite to you stevebbb ?)
I don't trust the cheap rookies, so I'm only fielding one!

Some 50/50 calls still to come:

• Caldwell vs Berry
• JDG vs TT (Nth)
• Rookies

It's actually brilliant haha, I really like it. You're D7 and D8 aren't playing though, what's the plan with that? Do you have cash to take Hinge or Gibcus? Otherwise you'll need to drop a forward, grab one of the many cheap forward rooks we'll get, and grab another down back.

Going into the season with D7 and D8 not playing would give me nightmares

McCartin and SDK will play, I'd just want a playing D7 (at least)

This is what I'm working with - pending rookies.

The only premo or mid-pricer up in the air at this point is Heeney. I'm tossing up between Heeney and Thomas.

$22k in the bank, which is a lot less than I was hoping to carry into the opening rounds. I could downgrade Stephens to a cheaper rookie and carry $82k which would be ideal in case of any early corrections or injury trades.

I would take playing cheapies to fill up bench spots. But I'd feel more comfortable starting an expensive rook like Rachele than Dixon/Hayes.

In my case, I'd gladly pick Martin to replace Durdin on my bench in a heartbeat and bank the $40k cash.

I'm tempted to skip Rachele and play SDK as my F6.
One of Hayes/Dixon at r3 the other at f8.
Then hopefully one of the m/f guys f7.

I’d you’re picking Bont as your POD at M2 you’re gambling that he scores more then Macrae/Steele/Oliver. Personally I don’t see that happening, but hey, if you think he will then who are we to say it’s not a good POD.

Odriscall and Kelly probably not playing? I would upgrade one of those to McCartin to give yourself a safety net against a zero.

Thanks mate yeah was trying to work out the pros and cons on that one. I think Bont has the potential to go huge(150+) at times but I'm probably safer going with a Macrae who's consistently 130.

Bont is an interesting POD because I reckon he's half a chance to get forward DPP.

Feel like I've finally settled on a team

Think I will go with the below depending how the rookies are named.

• Weaker through the midfield that I would like but think there is more value there than other positions.
• Blakey is an unusual one, but is taking some kickouts and the Swans will be using him as much as possible along with McInerney (I believe because of this Llyod has less value than other years)
• As much as possible have tried to select players who I think will improve rather than vets with strong averages (Grundy, McRae and Oliver aside), because of this there is a little risk.

Like the Rayner choice up forward, good potential gains there.
