Made a couple changes to my backline which included dropping Rioli and W.Day for a rookie and Ridley, and i got rid of Coleman for Rayner. My backline is the obvious issue but i like the rest of my team and im confident in both Young and Blakey. I really like my rucks and forwardline and i think my midfield is pretty standard, maybe slightly weaker than the norm. Only $1.1k in the bank though.

All your keepers are great. I cant fault any of them.
2-3 to many risky mid price players IMO.
You only have 13 rookies which I don't think is enough.
11 premos, 6 mid pricers, 5 rookies on field.
Anyways Good luck for the year!

Oliver is prob not going to have a game where he is on 7 at halftime as well which if you take out that game puts him on 122. I think they will start the year confidently, they want to build a dynasty
I'm just seeing the Bulldogs being hungrier than MELB .....and they lost their #1 wood Darren Burgess

It's pretty close I agree .....think it'll come down to being a "vibe" thing

Where did Burgo go ..?

Can I buy a vowl ....

Tried a 5mid variation with the 3x expensive mid rooks... I honestly like it a lot more than I thought I would.

Thanks for your thoughts. I am pretty attached to all my mid-pricers bar maybe Young but i dont know how to get the extra cash for say the gull apart from maybe downgrading Blakey but that would leave me with 3 rookie defenders which is not what i want. Rowell only just made it back into my team and i think that apart from maybe a downgrade to Berry or an upgrade to Titch, there arent many appealing options.

My forwardline is just about set too, strangely enough i have the least confidence in Cogs but i dont want to have him as an anti POD as if he plays mid to start the season he will absolutely average 90 at a minimum. Why i have the least confidence in him is that i think with Greene out he will play forward and will be a slow burn until Cameron finally comes to his senses and moves him back to the middle at which time picking him will finally pay off.

Curnow stays as he is so cheap and Rayner is my boom or bust midpricer. I honestly think he could go massive in the right circumstances but he could also flop badly if the midfield role doesnt eventuate. So yeah, if i do change my team up it'll probably revolve around Rowell and Young but i honestly think they will be good selections.

Anyway, its early days. I expect my team will change a fair bit after preseason games as rookies will show up and that will cause a big reshuffle!

Too midpricey even for you?

Hey, I'll have you know I'm a GnR nuffie these days mate.

It's not so much the 2 dud mid-priced selections in Caldwell & Witts, it's selecting top dollar premo priced rookies Ward, Hobbs and Maginness as benchies and a 205k R3 it just fails a basic understanding of SC principles that anyone that has played the game for more than a season or two knows - don't leave valuable dollars on the bench (in this case 200k+) that could be used to turn at least one of those mid-pricers into a premo.

they want to build a dynasty?

they've won 1 in a billion years, getting slightly ahead of themselves. I'd be happy with one sometime in the next 20 yrs or so while im still alive so i can at least see 1 in my time here
