Very much subject to change. I am pondering the Neale/Fiorini issue a lot - much as I am a massive Neale fan. I reckon with no Greenwood, then - as we saw in the back half of last season - Fiorini can step up and roll out big scores in the very similar role to Greenwood. Before anyone points out the McGovern issue in attack - I'm working on the early mail he will move to defence this year in place of Jones:

There's a magpie about to turn into a seagull, and he'll get DPP MID/DEF early in the season.

Let's get around our born-again SP, Scott Emblebury!

Hectic Suns love from a Brisbane fan.
Odd.
I find it funny that ruck cover is so important you need Jackson.
Yet you don't take 2 good rucks.

The adage of not taking a dozen from your own team.
Main reason for taking Jackson is the pinch hit to relieve Gawn while kicking some himself.
You need 2 captain options as rucks.
Best to take them at the start of the year and just bank points from round 1.
We are more likely in the mids to have people break out and go 110avearge therefore more likely to get a cheap keeper (as a trade in) than starting Witts.
Set and forget.
R/F is a distraction every year.
Every year people ruin there teams with the next Ceglar.
The upside of these picks is bye cover for two rounds a year.
You dont even get that one round because Gawn/Jackson play for the same club.

3x mids + Duncan iteration. I don't hate it with the trade boosts making it easier to grab a 600kish player this year. Only 2 rookies in def/fwd should hopefully minimise risk long term for more of a slow burn team.

Had 4 defenders last year and got absolutely torched with rookies as i'm guessing a lot of others did too. Sicily > Hewett if 123k guys are needed over Dean/Tsitas.

I had an idea.
I name it Flame Friday.
Every Friday, every team posted in here we give brutal responses too.
None of this ''Nice team mate, What do you see Milera averaging?'' BS.
Shoot from the hip.
What do you guys think?

We can do that anyday not just Friday :thumbsu:

I really like this team.
I doubt Comben and Hayes play round 1. (Comben is a chance. Norths team is up in the air a bit)
Otherwise good work!

I would love to tell you not to pick Pendles.
But you already know you shouldn't.
SC Royalty is not worth dying for.

I hear you barking, big dog!

I've pretty much settled on my structure, and no our former king is not in those plans.
It's fun to fool around while we can. We only get a couple of months every year to do it.

Does anyone else get to the point where you forget who you've got in your team at any stage in time because it changes so often?

I reckon i'd struggle to guess 90% of my team right now
I was like that a few weeks ago.
I tried everything from 7 premo mids to 2 premo mids.
I settled on how many I think is correct and now my team doesnt change much any more.

I will be very surprised if you don’t return back here after round one with proof that you threw a gorilla away coz you posted a pic of the round 1 winning score but changed your mind (43,000 times).

I must be the only one set on going budget midfield rookies and setting and forgetting on a heap of uber premiums with quite a few mid/forwards.

Does seem like a lot of natural ball winners taken in the first round last year and can see the logic in Daicos, Ward, Erasmus and Hobbs. Just waiting to see some JLT action to properly assess if they're going to outscore guys 90-100k cheaper in the H&A season and if they're going to score enough to justify a number of on field positions.

JHF scored pretty poorly in SC last year, but I also think it's going to be a fun ride with him in the team and will hit some big scores from time to time.
