Would've killed for honey to be ready or motlop kick a few thus week.

Owies and or durdin need a break.

Can point to moderately decent tackle numbers but half of them are tackles because they dropped a mark, fumbled or lost a contest
Defensive pressure by Owies & Durdin has been great and probably helped with a few goals, but for 74 inside fifties, and not one goal from either of them is not good enough.

Love his work up the ground, mark in the back pocket. His give and go straight up the middle with the 1-2 and perfect pass to Curnow.
tracking him you could see that kick was saying, it's here if you want it...........

Few guys had a chance to make Rachele earn it in the first half and didn't take it.

You gotta take that. Kid is a gun.

Whenever you have a gun lined up, you gotta hit them...fairly...

Hawthorn won flags off it
who cares

Can fault very few players. A couple of weeks ago Lewis Young looked all at sea and now he is looking like he belongs.
Loved Boyd. I have seen him in the VFL with time and his leg is deadly. Glad some of that is beginning to translate to AFL.
Unlike others I liked O’Brien tonight. He looks to me like he is closing on some really good footy. He is putting his head over the ball and his running is fantastic. It’s close for him I think.
7-2. 4th.
Players returning in 2nd half of the year include: Stocker, Cuningham, McGovern, Pittonet. Others knocking on the door very hard continue to be Dow and Williamson.
Could our second half of the year be better than our first? Dare to dream!
Yeah I really noticed that about Boyd for the first time today, that boy has a seriously penetrating kick. If he learns to adapt to the quickness of AFL, which I think he will, it’s will be a formidable weapon moving forward.

I wonder what Charlie's ceiling actually is.

At his best he may well and truly eclipse Fev (talking purely footy-wise).

Agree. Owies is really struggling and out of form. Credit to Durdin for getting up the ground and supporting defensively.

Sad that Honey has been injured, would've been a handy option. Motlop is very close to being ready. Our lack of ground ball presence in F50 is a glaring weakness.

We get more crumbing goals from McKay and Curnow, ffs.
It’s a weakness in the sense it isn’t scoring at the moment, it’s is pressuring. We have ample coverage in this area and just have to unearth the right combination.

TDK and Young have manned up and put the bigboy boots on the last 2 weeks when the team has needed them too. Both earning big ticks. Not unexpected , but very pleasing that they have. Both have oodles of talent and have shown now they've got the mindset for AFL.

2 big finds.

Boyd and Cottrell showing good signs. Durdin and Carroll have game and tough minds.

Remain worried about O'Brien. Owies a good pressure player at times, but really nothing else about his game is good enough at the level imo.

Loving the 6-2 position. Loving our scope for improvement.
I will say this which pleases me no end ….. our bottom 6 has not been this strong in a long, long time. It will get strong over the next couple of years as well.

God I’m sick of your over the top BS!! Find me 1 post where I’ve potted Lochie before? Ever

I might’ve said he didn’t play particularly well but I’ve actually always backed him and think he brings plenty of what we lack

The fact is that he put in 3 piss poor efforts today that I saw and I’m allowed to say so. When I rewatch the game, if i can be bothered, I’ll actually record the 3 efforts, post them on here, and watch you try and refute them

Your constant rush to be offended is unseemly, and quite sad to be frank. The constant use of emotive language to describe the most mundane of things is tiresome

I apologise for putting this in here but I couldn’t reply elsewhere and wasn’t letting it slide

Took the gloss off a bloody good win for me, a very important one. The last 2 weeks were crucial both short and long term, it sets the bar for what we should be doing to these types of sides now

Our forward connection is getting better. Our mids are starting to push hard both ways. Young is looking good and gelling with Weiters, plus our gun group of running back flankers

Still lots of room to improve and at 6-2, that’s a bloody good thing

*2 big blokes up forward are going ok too…

Liked how we flew the flag when Boyd hit the deck.

A few of our boys puffed out the chests & the Cows guys shat their dacks.

Was pretty much over after that.

We are a tougher outfit as the games progress. Playing better four quarters since and during the Freo loss .

Back from the match.
Overall fairly content.
Said to myself before the weekend would take a 6 or 7 goal win.
At this point our progress is more about just making winning a more regular habit and this is now starting to come.
The more consistent four quarter performance is the next step as season goes on.
Frustrating another player injured but the overall weekend has Marchy up and through a footy game so very content where we at for now.
Two wins inside the top 8 is what wanted to nail most and sitting in fourth spot gives players something to aim as realistic goal. That 4th double chance spot will be hard to nail but we at least giving ourselves a chance with this start to season.
