How are we seeing Durdins JS vs Martin/Baldwin? If Martin gets named he could stay until AMT returns. Or he could spud it and we give Wanganeen a run. Baldwin could string a few together until Jones recovers from his ankle issues, which is listed as short term but undefined beyond that at this stage.

Durdins JS is the best by far. Martin isn't fighting for a small forward spot, he's fighting with Cox for the wing imo. And yeah Baldwin will have to show a lot to keep Jones out of the side.

But if Martin does play he'll probably be the best value rookie for the whole year due to his cheap price + ball winning ability

Durdin's job security is rock solid. He will play 22 games if fit so he is the safest bet. I suspect Martin scores better if selected though due to role.

Ludicrous in a year when cash gen is key. Start 30 playing players. You’ll have a loophole by Rnd 2 or 3 without any choice in the matter anyway.

Not this black duck ....I could lose 3 players in round 2 & not see them again for the season .....conversely, a plaer not playing R1, comes in R2 and plays 8 on the trot

Can't generalise ....there might be an injury, which meant they didn't quite getup for R1
